Chapter 12: Things Are For The Best

Lawrence and Chris played there best game against Kentucky now that it's a bye week this past win has officially put us in the top ten in the ncaa football and it has brought a lot of attention to the college. With the season winding down Coach Gillis wants to make sure that we at least make it to the college football championship game so he decides to look into the locker room and the first person he singled out was Chris. Lately Chris has become a main target in the media, he's been in the old neighborhood with Saint and a few of his old friends, and he's been showing up to practice late, and leaving classes early so he tells him that Lawrence can't carry him all of the time you are the big brother you have to be there for him! Coach I make sure that Lawrence isn't in the hood like that as for him carrying him I'm making my brother look good so we both can not only put the city on but eventually go to the league. You think that it's that easy son?? You may have the entourage, the media blowing you up, and the girls but if you don't have the discipline son you won't be nothing else but a former shell of yourself. After the conversation with Coach Gills; Chris returns to the dorm room to see Lawrence getting ready for his date with Mac so Chris tells him to ditch the date and let's go to the club? Lawrence turned around then told Chris tonight he's gotta meet the parents so you are on your own bro to be honest you may need to watch some film I'm telling you Alabama is gonna come with some heat so we gotta be ready for the pressure? Chris kicked his feet up and told him I show up and I make you look good so you and Mac enjoy y'all time together and I'll have my fun. Later on that night, Big Saint makes his way on the campus looking for Lawrence, and Chris. When Imani goes to look for Bear she runs into Saint and he explains to her that Chris and Lawrence owes him some money and if they don't pay things will go from bad to worse. After she texts Lawrence and the rest of the crew in the group text with what just transpired; As Lawrence goes back to his dorm to get his wallet he finds himself in the crossfire where he gets beat up pretty bad by Saint but if it wasn't for his crew coming at the right time they would have killed him. As Lawrence lays in the hospital Chris finds out what happened he explains to his crew the situation that happened which Saint was floating him some cash so he and another party that's involved decided to flip that money and make more. By the end of the day President Baker informed Coach Gills that there are some allegations being brought up to the front office. I see that Lawrence and Chris may be apart of a controversy especially when it comes to taking money from the university and other outside influences.
