Chapter 3: The End Of An Era

The crew meet up at Waffle House to catch up with finals coming up, and graduation is right around the corner it felt great to sit back and unwind. That's when Lyric and the girls decided to make there way inside waffle house, since Lyric decided to skip prom to get ready for college she overheard what happened with Lawrence and Zaria so she slid into the booth, Nichelle slid beside Shaquille Jeremiah and Cheyenne grabbed them both a chair because they knew it was about to get real. So.. Boogie word around the streets is that Zaria wanted to trap you?? So when were you going to tell me, as everyone stood around looking at the both of us I told her it was all your fault anyway you decided to go off to Atlanta and get prepped knowing you should've had your butt up here in the first place! Girl!! No he didn't go there said Nichelle oh yes he did, so why do I have to hold your hand in the first place you are a big boy now it's time for you to make these decisions because from what I heard you were following Mac around like a lost puppy! Dang Boogie you gonna take that my boy.. I looked at Shaq and he immediately got quiet so I asked her was she jealous, because last time I checked you were playing games. As Ms Terri brought over the food she slowly put it on the table then told the both of us to stop with the same old married couple arguments y'all been doing this for the last four years grow up. Ms Terri could I get another all star meal with this I'm gonna need something to eat while I'm cramming said Bear she sized Bear up and told him to try vegetables and fruit but she's gonna whip up something that will help you Ace that final. As he put the napkin in his shirt and started devouring his food we all shook it off and continue to talk about life after high school. Man y'all it's really hitting me that after high school we are really going into adult hood I mean we're all going to SCT. I must say we really made a statement since our freshman year. Aww look at Boogie getting teary eyed over there said Cheyenne I must say we did have a heck of a run though.. no matter if we are apart or not let's just always stay in touch said Nichelle. We all agreed with each other but later on that night it was a warm night on the southside so I decided to sit outside and take on some of that warm weather. Lyric came outside the house when we both noticed each other I immediately had a flash back to the first day we moved in, the first time she beat me one on one in basketball, to our first time to getting caught by her mom! As she opened the gate and walked up to the house she took a seat beside me and sighed. Oh lawd girl what's on your mind?? See I can't with your boogie she pushed off of me and looked at the sky so what are you doing out here tonight she asked. Well reminiscing at the minute I said snarky.. I'm gonna dismiss your smart mouth but I hope those memories your thinking about are good. I looked at her and told her of course they are. She smiled then mushed me as I chased after her and picked her up we both looked at each other as I looked into her eyes I decided to put her down and call her a punk for mushing me. You know what Ms Terri was right we do act like an old married couple because the old you would've took me down with a kiss but I see that you finally graduated scrub. Well we both know that if we crossed that line it would become extremely awkward between us you will start catching feelings, and I will have to remind you of our friendship. Lyric placed her hand on her hip then laughed loudly first off I'm the reason your a hopeless romantic, this cookie make you second guess yourself and last time I checked you will the one to fall hard and be in your feelings. I stood there and agreed with her then told her to put her money where her mouth is! As I got up and towered over her she placed her hands on my chest, sighed then looked up at me then told me I win. Just promise me something maybe five or six years down the road if we aren't married give me a baby! I spit out my Gatorade and asked her what make you want a baby with me? We both know that in a relationship it can't work because how deep we love each other, but to have something that we both created together will be something that we can share together. First off Lyric I would want to change your last name before that, She told me to shut up with that old school love because in the next few years I'm gonna be in my career so marriage will complicate things but to have a child that reminds us of our love will always be something to remind me of my first love. Ok Lyric I'll keep that in the back of my mind but you never know it may be a guy at Spell-man who will love you more and treat you even better than I will. See Boogie there will be guys that come my way but when your first love has your heart it hits different so with that being said I'm gonna remind you of that right now so come on! Lyric grabbed my hand and we went to her house.
