3rd person POV

It was a calm and silent night. Not a whisper could be heard. Everyone was tucked soundly into bed to prepare for the day ahead of them whether it be going to school, work or something else. Dreaming dreams that they will forget in the morning.

Everyone was at rest.

Except from one boy.

"YOU USELESS PIECE OF SHIT! HOW DARE YOU DODGE THAT YOU QUIRKLESS BASTARD!" a drunk, skinny, blond haired man with piercing blue eyes, was shouting and throwing empty bottles of alcohol at a green haired, emerald eyed teenager with the intent of smashing them all over his body.

"..." the boy said nothing in return, not wanting to make the man he called 'father' any angrier. He simply wanted to go to his room and sleep. He had school in less than six hours but he needed to be awake a lot sooner than that to prepare everyone's food as well as clean up this mess that has been made.

The man ended up walking right in front of the teenager and punishing him across the face, kicking him on the torso and smashing an unopened beer bottle on his head. The alcohol seeped into the newly formed cuts, causing a stinging sensation to spread through the teenager's numb body.

"Tch, worthless-s-s brat *hic*, can't do any-anything *hic* right." The man then stumbled further into the house, leaving his son in the middle of the living room, bleeding out on the hard wooden floor.

The teen didn't know how long he had lain on the ground, he simply knew that he needed to get up and clean the house before his sister found out. It was a miracle in itself that she had slept through all that happened.

It was the same every night. His father comes back from work and gets pissed drunk as soon as his sister, Izumi, goes to bed while he is not able to do anything without being told to do so outside of all of his chores. Those were mandatory tasks that he had to complete on his own. Once his father was met with the bottom of his second bottle, he started to become violent towards the green haired teen, blaming him for everything that has gone wrong in his life: his wife dying, getting injured at work, there not being alcohol in the house. It was all the fault of Izuku Yagi.

The poor boy was born quirkless and from then on his life has been anything but happy. His sister on the other hand, lived a happy and blessed life that he would have wished he had were it not for the vile person she turned out to be simply for having a powerful quirk. She had a stronger version of her mother's telekinesis quirk whereby it was more versatile and would help her become an amazing hero one day.

Izuku would have agreed with that statement, had it not been for the first-hand experience he had with the girl and her 'amazing' quirk. He was the punching bag and the testing dummy whereby his sister thought it would be ok to beat him as she saw fit. It's not like anyone would help or defend a quirkless nobody. Only a handful of people even knew of his existence.

His father did everything in his power to make it as if Izuku didn't exist or wasn't related to him. It was easy enough considering he looked nothing like his father. Every time they had family or friends over, Izuku was locked in his room or sent out of the house and told not to return until the next day or even a number of days. At school he is registered under Izuku Midoriya, his mother's name, but his birth certificate has his proper name on it. His father claimed that both of Izuku's parents died and that he had taken him in for his 'dear old friends'.

This had become Izuku's normal, every-day life and he is used to it. As strange as it is to say, Izuku would feel anxious and uncomfortable with anything else since it is all he's known. He didn't remember his mother and his father burnt every single picture he had of her. All he could vaguely remember about the woman was her smile. It was such a genuine, perfect smile directed towards Izuku. It made him feel warm on the inside. But he knew that if that woman was alive long enough to know he was quirkless, she would have been disgusted in him as well. Everyone was.

At school, he didn't have one person to call a friend. He had tormentors and that was the closest thing he had to a relationship outside of blood relations. Teachers ignored him and tried their best to make him fail all his classes. Unfortunately for them, Izuku was naturally smart which resulted in him outshining all of the quirked students in their class. This then led to Izuku being accused of cheating time and time again. He ended up being accused of starting fights as well which ended with him being suspended a lot of the time. His father was really angry about that. The beatings increased after that.

His student record couldn't be further from the truth about the type of person Izuku was. Despite everything that had been done to him and the difficulties he would later face, Izuku still tried his best to help everyone in his way, no matter if they hated him or were a stranger. Thanks to him getting a lot of injuries and having to treat them himself, he had picked up a skill or two. Due to him getting kicked out of the house a lot as well, he had simply walked around the city and helped anyone that needed help medically. Anyone and everyone, regardless of age, race, sex/gender or occupation, he would stop and help. Because of his help, everyone was always so grateful towards him, making him feel that warmth in his heart that the memory of his mother's smile gave him. It pushed him to continue helping everyone. He did odd jobs around his neighborhood in order to earn money to give to both homeless people as well as criminals so they don't end up robbing banks or others. Aside from the skills he picked up, Izuku also has another trick up his sleeve.

What nobody knew was that the boy who lay bleeding on the ground held a secret. One that nobody knew and nobody that knew him would believe if he had told them. In fact, Izuku wasn't quirkless. Far from it. The boy had an exceptionally powerful quirk that he has already used on people and objects and will continue to do so regardless if it was illegal or not. He was helping those that heroes have turned their backs on. No one would know of his effort and sacrifices but he didn't care about that. He would go out and save a life. And then another. And another. No matter how little the task or how impossible the situation, he would do anything he could to help the helpless.

So the boy picked himself up from the ground. Tended to his wounds and cleaned the mess the number one hero, All Might had made, and set off for the night, making sure that everything was ready for when he returned at daybreak.
