Chapter Six
Aizawa's POV"Ok, let's go through this again." Tsukauchi stated, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. "You were fighting a group of criminals that had knives."
"Yes." I replied, monotonously.
"Then you passed out." he continued.
"Yes." I said again.
"Then you wake up in a cement dome and saw a kid that looked to be a younger, male version of the deceased Inko Yagi?" he sounded more doubtful about that part of the story.
"Yes." I couldn't help but feel he was doubting me despite his quirk telling him I was speaking the truth. I only knew that for sure because I could see him getting more frustrated with this somewhat puzzling situation. How was it possible for this boy to look so like Inko when she only had one child and no other siblings that could possibly have had this child? Better question: why was he living on the streets? Even better question, why were there so many people within that dome and who was responsible for it?
"It could just be a coincident that this boy happened to look like Inko. We live in a world where people looking similar wouldn't be the weirdest thing." Tsukauchi said.
I sighed, annoyed that I had to keep explaining this to him, "This boy wasn't 'similar' to Inko. He was a perfect copy of Inko when she was younger with shorter hair and freckles. I thought I died and went to heaven that's how perfectly the same he looked. It was honestly creepy. There is no way, statistically, that this boy could look like Inko and not be related in some way."
"Did you ask about his quirk?" Tsukauchi asked.
I gave him a blank look, "I was too in shock after thinking I died to be thinking about his quirk. Besides, that matter aside, what can be done about that dome? There was no visible entrance or exit and I don't know the exact location, but it must have been close to where I was attacked."
Tsukauchi thought for a moment before speaking again. "I call up a group of heroes to meet us. We'll make a plan to find this dome and get to the bottom of this. If you happen to bump into anyone you recognised in there, be sure to follow them and find out what you can. I'll do what I can from here."
I gave him a nod before leaving the office and heading back home. My patrol ended about an hour ago and I wanted to sleep where I stood, but Hizashi would lecture me non-stop if that happened again. I nearly went deaf last time; I did not want to have a repeat of the event.
I was swing around when I found the Dome again. It looked too small to hold all those people on the inside. Something that I noticed that I didn't when I had woken up was that there actually was a window. The top of the Dome was made entirely of glass. It was so big I'm shocked at how I had missed it in the first place. Granted I had just woken up after the beating of my life, but that was no excuse for my lack of observation.
Peering inside, I could see everyone inside moving around. The few kids that resided within seemed to be asleep or in the process of falling asleep while most of the other people were still conversing.
I spied the green headed teenager that I had mistaken for my dead friend. He was cuddling what seemed to be a kid his age that had cat ears and a tail. The boy seemed to be falling asleep as the Inko-look-alike was petting his hair.
Seeing them act so closely made me miss my own husband, child and cats. I stood up from my crouched position and started swinging home faster than before.
As soon as I landed on the doorstep and opened the door, I was attacked by an oversized cockatoo with a speaker as a necklace.
"SHOTA! You're back!" he shouted as I quickly cancelled his quirk before the neighbours filed another noise complaint.
