*knock—knock*
"Are you gonna get that?" Mark asked softly, glancing down towards Genevieve a few seconds after a soft knock sounded from her front door—interrupting what was once a rather peaceful day off for her.
A soft sigh fell past her lips. "I'd rather not," she muttered in response, shaking her head as she willed herself to ignore the sound, hoping whoever it was would go away. She spared a tight lipped smile Mark's way, hoping the two could fall back into the prior calm they basked in.
It was nice.
At the moment, she lingered on the couch snuggled alongside Mark watching a recorded surgery from years ago—one she ranked as top tier—all in an effort to answer his nagging question, specifically when he asked her what her 'best surgery of all time' was . . . She caved and eventually agreed—only if he'd return the favor the next time she decided to visit Seattle, hinting at the tidbit happily and ultimately deciding it wouldn't be so bad to plan a short trip out West . . .
