•'EVERY TIME GENEVIEVE SAYS 'MCSTEAMY', FUND'•
Sunday, June 13th, 2010 . . . 12:09 P.M.
The morning passed by agonizingly slow after Meredith left. Time seemed to drag on, and considering daytime TV seemed to only occupy the silence, but not Genevieve's mind, she couldn't help the nagging urge to count the seconds until someone would walk through her door.
Unfortunately, the more she thought on the subject, the quicker she came to the realization that the next body that'd most likely make its way through the doorway would be a Police officer. Even if it was a simple assumption, it was a valid one. Today was the day they'd pay her a visit, and she knew that.
She dreaded the mere thought, and she couldn't help but wonder how she'd feel when the moment came to play out. She figured it was the confrontation that made her nervous. Maybe even the touchy subject she knew they'd discuss with her. She wasn't quite sure why, but what she did know for sure was that the entire situation made her anxious. There was no doubt about it. Some moments, it was so bad, she couldn't help but run through the possible conversation over and over in her head until her thoughts resembled a paranoid audiobook.
The questions she knew they'd ask caused an uneasy feeling to wash over her, and thinking of the outcome of it all caused a fierce pounding to reverberate through her chest. It quickly became overwhelming as anxiety coursed through her veins, and a twisting sense of paranoia started to weave its way through her thoughts. She knew she wouldn't be able to hold back the dam much longer. She'd so eagerly built it up after what happened, she wasn't sure it would withstand the day. It would burst soon and she had a feeling it'd break and crumble to dust the moment her eyes meet the shiny badges and she is bombarded with arduous questions.
