Mark shook his head, glancing towards Derek who walked beside him. "Women do this to me. I don't do this," he spoke while they passed through the Hospital doors. The beginnings of a frown pulled at his lips, and it only escalated the longer he pondered on the topic rushing through his thoughts.
He didn't have to elaborate on what he meant—or referred to for that matter. It was clearly something that involved Genevieve Lasker. Derek assumed as much. He had an insight on what's been going on between the two for a while now, and he was more than happy to encourage it. However, that didn't stop him from teasing his friend every now and then.
Derek chuckled, amused with Mark's endearing behavior. "Sucks being the girl, huh?" he joked, unable to withhold the comment—considering the situation was usually reversed.
That earned him a light shove on the shoulder.
Mark looked to his side and narrowed his gaze. "I'm not the girl." he shot back, standing firm as he defended himself.
