She lay still; body surrounded by small flowers and woodland critters. Her ageless face was relaxed, all stress had faded from her. The trees casted dark shadows around her, caving her in. All that could be heard was the singing of the birds and the slight breeze rustling leaves.
Her long hair occasionally left the ground to dance with the breeze. Golden skin slowly fading to a pale white, she was losing colour, losing life.
Inside, she was fighting, screaming, crying, begging for her body to wake up. She couldn't leave him, not yet. They needed each other and she was determined to hold onto every inch of life she could grab.
She could feel her heart beating slower, her blood beginning to stop pulsing around her body. She shrieked and cried but she wouldn't wake up. It was like she was buried alive.
The contrast of it all was beautiful and meaningful. On the outside she portrayed a calm, relaxed women with confidence and happiness. On the inside, she was a restless, restricted girl fighting for her life.
The two punctures on her neck slowly started to become covered. Her restless half began feeling a burning sensation, it panicked her. What is happening? Is this what death is? was all she could think. The little blood in her body started bubbling and her body began to shake.
It was painful, she couldn't escape the feeling of burning alive. She even tried, she tried to let go to get away from the unbearable pain, but failed. Everything became to much, her body trembled and twitched, she screamed and cried, trying to avoid pain.
Then it stopped.
She lay still; body surrounded by small flowers and woodland critters. Her ageless face was relaxed, all stress had faded from her.
But then her eyes opened.
