The morning came sooner than she expected. Her alarm hummed in the background as she dragged herself out of her warm, cosy bed towards the washroom. Changing into her uniform, she grabbed herself a granola bar and noticed a sticky note left behind for her.'They arrived and took Tan home. Have a good day at school .
~ Pops '"I will," Jenny mumbled with a smile on her face. "Everyday is a new beginning..."
"... Take a deep breath and smile again," Jin plastered a fake smile as he approached Namjoon, who was concentrating on the book set before him.
"Morning Joonie," Jin chirped as the former turned his attention to her with his dimpled smile.
"What's up, dude? studied for the test? ", Namjoon asked him.
"I did. What about you? "
"Read through it once. That'll do the job for me, "Namjoon answered.
"How's your new friend, Jenny? I saw her text this morning, but couldn't respond as I was in a rush. "
" Namjoon hyung "A third voice interrupted them both. It was Jack. Jin somehow finds his voice more irritating than his alarm clock.
"Did you miss me, Hyung? " Jack pouted, occupying the seat beside Namjoon.
Namjoon mumbled, turning his attention back to his book.
"Hyung, can you summarise the lesson for me? The one we have for the test, "Jack requested, to which Namjoon nodded.
"Please leave us alone; we have a test to study for," Jack sneered.
It was not the first time he had experienced this. Jack talked as if he owned Namjoon.
"Can't I spend a little time with him? " Jin huffed , leaning onto his desk .
"Morning Hyung...", Jimin chirped, taking his seat.
" Morning , Jiminah . "Jin chuckled as Jimin rolled his eyes at him.
"I brought us rice cakes and she's not here yet. Great" Jimin pouted.
"We do have half an hour for our classes to begin with. She'll be here soon " Jin chuckled as both of them stared at the door, waiting for her.
A few minutes later, they found her pacing towards them.
"Sorry for being late," Jenny panted, taking the seat beside Jin.
"When do we have our English test today? I forgot to check our schedule " , She mumbled, gulping down the water.
"The very first hour, if I'm right," Jimin responded to her, cross-checking his schedule.
"Can someone lend me your notebooks today? I have a lot to take down "
"I can lend you mine," Jin said, smiling and handing her a chocolate.
"I love chocolates," Jenny cooed, unwrapping the golden wrappers with her slender fingers, before plopping the whole chocolate into her mouth.
"Everyone does," Jimin chuckled, watching her, humming to it.
"It's the moment we have been waiting for," she mumbled, watching her professor enter the class.
"Just you... Please don't include both of us in it, "Jimin elbowed her, while she rolled her eyes at him.
"Good morning, children. Who's excited about the test? " Mr. Jerald's face gleamed as he thought of something.
"We are shuffling. You're advised to be seated according to my instructions."
"How could he do that to us?" She mumbled when she ended up sharing the seat with someone, who happened to be someone else.
"Hey pretty girl, Jack's my name." She frowned as the guy winked at her. Her wandering gaze came up to his face, Seokjin's, who sat there a few seats behind her.
"Jenny," she mumbled, focusing her gaze back on the blackboard. She wasn't that comfortable with the new guy, Jack, who she had just met. The test sheets arrived and they were done with them in an hour.
"It was easier than I expected, "she exclaimed while Jimin nodded his head, joining the conversation between Jin and Jenny.
"I felt the same," Jimin said.
She sat on the desk and eyed the guy who was her benchmate for the test.
"He was kinda flirting with me the whole test."
"Stay away from him, it's for your own good," Jin said, gazing at Jack , who was clinging onto Namjoon.
Jimin gave a little bit more detail about the said guy.
"I'm way beyond his league, so chill " , She walked beside them towards the library, where they had to spend another hour.
