(also as a side note and a small fact, this things purely based on me[Lacuna]) and Rachel roleplaying detective in dms as I'm trying to guess what's gonna happen in her Hitmen AU)

Lacuna entered the café Rachel was sitting at, walking towards the tables that were next to the barista. She sat down, taking her hat off and starting the conversation. "So, you wanted to meet. If I'm being honest I have a guess why, but I'm listening."

The brunette turned around slightly to face her. "Cool, cool. I knew you'd already have an idea of what happened," She replied, taking a sip of her tea, before continuing. "So I assume you'd already heard about the death of Groovy?"

Lacuna turned to make an order of mineral water to the barista, before turning back to her and nodding. "Yeah, I have. I have heard of what happened with that newspaper as well," she chuckled slightly "Leaking specified info from the government to the public and then getting disbanded. At least the info is actually useful."

"Yeah, I also read the article a bit when it was still up, and no wonder whoever caused the site to disband disbanded it, cause there was some pretty confidential information there that could've been bad when exposed to the public."

"Good thing I actually took notes of it." Lacuna said as she took out a small notebook from her coat. "There were a lot of details about the crime listed in the article, but what I find most interesting is the 'Assassination contract' found in the scene of the crime." she continued taking a sip from her drink. "It is really unusual for something like that to be found in the crime scene."

"It sure is," she agreed. "It's like straight up leaving evidence that could incriminate out in the open. Even if the names on the contract were blacked out by some 'conveniently spilled ink', it's still suspicious."

"True," Lacuna mumbled under her breath, "And the weapon used, a stiletto dagger exactly 14 inches, also found at the scene of the crime. From the information we have from the newspaper, this narrows the possible hitmen to three: 1113, Kitsune and Specter. The fact that there were no witnesses nor any footage of them getting caught on camera also adds to this theory."

"All of the information you received is correct, that I'll say," Rachel stated. "But, don't you think it's odd?"

"It is odd, and the odd thing is how obvious it is. And I think there is another choice as well. What if it wasn't one of them? What if someone, and this someone doesn't have to be another hitmen, is trying to frame those three hitmen to clear their own name? And this raises even more questions than it answers." Lacu said, tapping her pen on the notebook. "And there is the factor that up until a few days ago all the knowledge about those three were hidden, this means this person knew all that info before us. And that gives that the question of 'How did they?'"

"All of what you said is true," Rachel hummed, raising her tea cup to take another sip. "All of the evidence and events leading up to it seems simply too convenient. But most of the questions you asked could be answered if you think about them hard enough. For example, think about the whole newspaper thing. If all the evidence was fake, and someone posted it onto the newspapers, could it really just be a random nobody behind all this?"

Lacuna took a long sip from her drink, thinking before starting to state her theory, "No, for someone to make all the fake evidence that was found, they should have information, information that only the government had. This means maybe they are working for it or maybe somehow knew governments 'specified information'," she paused for a second, looking through her notes "But then it wouldn't make sense for the same person to leak all of the information to the public. Like they don't have a reason to do so."

"Sure, that may seem like the case at first," She commented, smiling while taking a sip of her tea. "But when you consider the fact that all of the 'evidence' and 'government specific info' point and are all about the three hitmen, you can view it from a different angle. Unless this is some case where the client betrays the hitman, there's no other reasoning that makes sense, unless you have one?"

"Well, the answer to that would be that the hitmen are not related in the slightest way and the person who commited the murder, leaving all the fake evidance leaked the info about the hitmen to make it obvious it was one of the three who was the real culrprit. A red herring if you want to call it."

"That does seem like the most likely scenario when you look at it," Rachel turned away for a second to order more tea, before turning back. "And now, you need to consider the fact that the article was taken down very soon. Too soon to be natural, no?"

Lacuna continued to tap her pen on the notebook before putting the two on the table and chugging her drink down. "About that, we don't have any idea on how they took it down. Heck, we can even consider it was planned to be taken down from the moment it was written. It is a wild guess but what if it's not."

"What makes it a wild guess?" Rachel replied, smirking.

"Well, because of that article the entire newspaper got taken down. It is not really logical to throw an entire newspaper to the garbage can just because you want to create a distraction to the murder you comminted, right?" Lacuna answered, smirking as well. "But when you think about it murder is not a really logical thing as well."

"None of the things happening at the moment seem logical, if you have the right mindset," she stated. "Also, about your point on 'creating a distraction for a murder'. I believe there's a reason for that. It's simple, really. If they were to take it down almost instantly after an hour of putting it up for the world to see, wouldn't it make it seem that 'someone' doesn't want the info to be leaked and therefore took it down?"

"But that's assuming the person has nothing to lose. If they were trying to frame someone else they would have at least something they are trying to protect. And another reason is if it stayed up people would get suspicious of the government, why would they let their 'classified info' be public if they didn't want it to be? And even if they wanted it to be public why wouldn't they do it using an official thing but a private newspaper?"

Rachel chuckled for a moment, before setting down her teacup back onto the counter. "Well, I guess that's your business to find out why," she flashed a smile, before getting up from the chair.

"Wait- what?" Lacuna was a bit surprised from the sudden end of the conversation. "But what about the rest of the mystery? Not all the pieces of the puzzle have been placed in their places yet!"

"Oh, trust me, I already know the full picture," She turned her back, briefly walking away. "But I guess it's your job to complete the puzzle to perfection.

"Good luck on the case, Ms. Detective."
