Superheroes AU - City Breezing - Part 1

I looked down at the city from the high skyscraper I stood on, looking for trouble.

Electric cars and buses drove through the high roads, and people were buzzing everywhere. The city was as noisy as usual, with no signs of disruption.

"The city is as peaceful as usual, with no signs of trouble anywhere, I think," I told as I stood up straight, glancing at my current work partner. "Traffic looks like it's going smoothly, people seem to be just going about their daily lives, and no villains are currently in sight."

"Yeah, I think that's correct," 'BlueWings' replied. "We should also check the dark parts of the city, right, 'Bubblegum'?"

"Mhm, the alleyways of the city are always crime infected places," I responded, spreading my wings and getting ready to fly off the building. Me and 'Blue' exchanged nods, before taking off together to examine the dark parts of the city better.

"So my targets and yours are around here?"

A white hooded figure blended into the crowd of people walking on the sidewalk. No one really paid any mind to them, as there was nothing notably suspicious about them, and they blended in perfectly with all the citizens. They also wore a mask, which covered half of their lower face.

"That's right, you informed me about you looking for a person with a summoner type power right?" A voice replied.

They were on call with someone, holding a phone beside their head. Both seemed to be discussing something.

"Mhm, yeah, that's true," They whispered back to the phone, as to not let the other people nearby hear the conversation. "So in exchange for it, you want me to also bring to you the person you have in mind?"

"No, no. You don't have to bring them to me," The person on call hummed, their tone sounding pretty nonchalant. "I just need you to find them for a start, and it doesn't need to be today. I'll give you the details in a moment."

The person branched off the crowd and headed for the nearest alleyway. They took off their hood when they were out of view, revealing the multicoloured hair underneath. Their pair of mismatched eyes glimpsed back out to the lively parts of the city, before turning back around and walking to the more empty and dangerous parts of it.

"Alright, if you say so, Ms. Provi. I do owe you one, so I don't see why not."

The orange haired sighed as she walked out of the Mall, and onto the floating walkways. The city was as crowded as always, and it was especially visible inside buildings, such as the mall.
She continued down the walkways carrying a shopping bag filled with orange juice and cans of beans.

She started walking further from the mall, and more into the crowded sidewalks, looking around the scenery of the capital. The city was the capital of the country, and is one of the most technologically advanced plus the most populous city in existence. Even at midnight, the sidewalks are still commonly crowded.

She branched to the lonier streets of the city, walking down the more inferior street stores and shady corners. Suddenly, she stopped as she saw something in front.

Snakes.

She wasn't that alarmed, knowing what they meant, although she did know better than to just approach it. She sneaked carefully towards the source of the slithers, making sure to not disturb the snakes in the way, and eventually turned the corner, immediately finding the person behind them.

"Hi, Riana."

The red head turned around. "Oh, it's you, Ducky. Hi," The snake hero greeted back a bit nonchalantly. She looked back down at the now tied up unconscious villains she was fighting the minute before. "I didn't expect to see you here," She added.

"On your shift?" Ducky asked.

"Yeah, I guess, recently the crime rate has risen up a bit," Riana replied slowly, gesturing some of her snakes to go back into their portals since she seemed to be done with whatever she was doing. "You shouldn't really be here, by the way, it can get dangerous."

"Alright, alright, I'm heading home," Ducky sighed, turning around back at the exit of the alleyways. "I just wanted to say hi, since I saw you on the way back. See you later, I guess."

Riana only nodded, but didn't say a lot as she watched Ducky walk away.
