"Thank you sir, i hope your girlfriend likes the gift you're getting her." I tell the customer.
"No thank you miss. I'm sure she'll love it. You have a nice sense of style." He tells me.
I smile a little and say, "thanks, have a good night."
"You too, beautiful." He tells me.
After that last customer left, i told Tammy to start locking the door.
I may like this job but i don't feel like talking to customers anymore.
"Damn babygirl you in a rush? Is there something you're about to do?" She asks me.
"Yeah, I'm tryna rush my ass home. Angelo's suppose to pick me up from here today and i really don't feel like seeing him." I tell Tammy.
"Bitch why?!" She asks me.
"Long story short he flirting with my best friend." I tell her.
"Okay and? So what? I thought you said you didn't like him." Tammy says.
"I don't but it just bothers me thats all." I tell her.
"Yeah whatever V, your heads too far up Carlos's ass to even realize you have feelings for Angelo." She tells me.
"Speaking of the devil." I looked down at my phone to see Carlos calling me.
"Explain to me why he's calling you Veronica?" Tammy asks me.
"Ugh its ever since that day i went to see him. To keep it a buck Tammy i fucked him. Now he won't stop calling me or texting me its so annoying." I tell her.
"Well isn't that what you wanted Veronica? You real indecisive mamas." She tells me.
"I know but ya'll was right, i can't keep messing with a nigga who doesn't want me. I'm really done with him." I tell her.
"Well i don't believe it until i see it. Anyways yo' man Angelo outside waiting for you. Get out my damn store girl!" Tammy says while pushing me out.
I walked towards Angelo as he was leaning outside of his car.
"Hi." I tell him.
"Wassup beautiful" he says while smiling at me.
He opened the passenger door for me. As i sat down i heard a little squeaky voice.
"Hi miss lady." The voice says.
I turned around and see Angelo's niece. This girl is such a beauty. She made me want to have a girl but not now.
"Hi cutie pie, what's your name?" I ask her.
"Shannon, uncle Angel is this the girl you were talking about? The one who you l-
"Girl quit all the talking Shannon, damn." He tells her.
"Angelo stop being mean to her." I tell him.
"That lil girl been getting on my nerves all day Veronica. But anyways how was your day beautiful?" He asks me.
"It was cool, yours?" I asked him.
"Tiring, this lil girl got too much energy in her." He tells me.
I didn't respond back, i just smiled. Throughout the rest of the ride to his house it was pretty silent. While the radio was playing, he placed his hand on my thigh. I looked at him but he seemed to be paying attention to the road. I was gonna tell him to take his hand off my thigh but i didn't. It felt right. I started to think about him & Chloe, i mean maybe she was lying but that's my best friend and I know she wouldn't do that. I then thought about the night i had sex with Carlos. I felt wrong about doing it but it felt so right. But now i realized slowly but surely I'm losing feelings for him. I'd still have sex with him though, but nothing more than that.
