They went on a journey to their designated location, walking past the bridge, forest and went beyond that to finally ending up on starfell lake

"This place looks cool!" Xingqiu squealed
"Haha I know right! Me and razor come here often" Bennett explained
"Tent" razor tugs Bennett's shirt asking for attention
"Oh yeah! Let's set up the tents!" Bennett started to unpack the stuff and started building alongside Xingqiu and Chongyun, Razor went hunting for food, the time passed by and it's now 4 PM.
"Razor.. got meat for food!" Razor comes by with a basket filled with raw meat and handed it to Bennett, to which he replied with "thank you Razor! I know I can count on you for this" he smiled warmly at him showing appreciation
"Xingqiu, Chongyun! Can you guys stay here for a while? Me and Razor are gonna go get stuff back home okay?" Bennett spoke up
"Umm... Yeah sure?" Xingqiu said sounding uncertain
"Great, thanks!" Bennett responded
"So what now?" Xingqiu questioned
"Do you know how to cook?" Chongyun looked at Xingqiu and then looked at the equipment
"Yeah, I do?" He told him
"I'm quite hungry...." Chongyun stared at the ground
"Well, I can make you some crystal shrimp! I know you liked them, I just need some carrots..." He spoke up
"How about we improvise? We can use uhh... Let's see, we can use radishes instead of carrots?" Chongyun challenged
"Well that could work, yeah sure! I'll make you some crystal shrimp" xingqiu gleamed
Chongyun waited while Xingqiu prepared their dinner for the night, minutes passed by, and it got darker and darker, Bennett and Razor is still unseen anywhere.
"Done! Here you go yun~ " Xingqiu offered his cooking to his best friend
"Thank you Xingqiu!" Chongyun thanked him
"Haha no problemmm" Xingqiu chuckled
"I think i added some jueyun chilli there whoops" Xingqiu laughed and pretending to wipe a tear
"XINGQIU STOP THIS IS NOT FUNNY- I'M GONNA KILL YOU" Chongyun let out a scream loud enough for Xingqiu but not so loud that it disturbed the area
"Calm down calm downnnn, I'm joking, or not~ who knows ?" Xingqiu holds on his laugh
"Fine, I'm not eating then." Chongyun pouted
"Chongyun I'm just jokingg i didn't put any jueyun chillis in there" Xingqiu encouraged him
"Okay then, i trust you on this" Chongyun glared at his friend, he took his chopsticks and started to pick up a dumpling, putting it in his mouth and chew. "Yeah you're right, there's no jueyun chilli, your cooking still taste amazing tho!" Chongyun beamed
"Thank you, Chongyun!" Xingqiu thanked him
After they finished their meals they went in their tents, Forgetting about their 2 friends, Bennett and Razor that left a few hours ago.
Xingqiu's POV:
He's so cute sometimes, making fun of his lack of spice tolerance is fun, he makes this cute face of his and my heart goes GWAHH, thats it, I'm confessing tonight, oh morax please don't let this friendship fall apart...
Narrator's POV:
The both of them went in their sleeping bags and gazed apon the stars
"Hey Chongyun, how do you feel about me? Like, what do you think i am?" Xingqiu waited in anticipation
It took a moment before he spoke
"You're like the sun, it shines. you're fun to be around, you're i might say... gregarious, a good friend too, i feel like I'm someone pretty lucky to have you by my side as a friend, a good friend" Chongyun took a deep breath and closed his eyes
Xingqiu POV:
A good "friend" he says... nothing more i assume ? I've gotten my hopes too high apparently I'm just a friend, nothing more...
I sighed as i said "hah that sounded nice, you're words are kind Chongyun, just like you, I'm happy to be your friend" i smiled at the sky, hurting a bit inside and drifted to sleep not hearing what he said after.
