Xingqiu had feelings towards Chongyun for a while now, they're childhood friends afterall.

"What's wrong Xingqiu?" I turned around to see Chongyun staring at me
I smiled at him and answered with "oh its nothing" and continued staring blankly at the sky
Chongyun's POV:
Xingqiu looks sad, whats going on in his mind? Does he not want me to be here? Does he want me to leave him alone? Tell me... please
I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out, it was strange
I waited for some time
Until i finally took a deep breath and asked "Hey Xingqiu, do you not want me to be here? Do you want me to go? You can just tell me you know..." i looked at the ground
When i turned to him he looked at me with a surprised face and laughed
"Whats so funny?" I asked him
He pretends to wipe a tear and told me "its funny how you said that so easily Chongyun, if I'm told to pick someone to spend my whole life with.... its you Chongyun" he turns his head up to watch the sky, and i feel a burning sensation on my face
There it is... AGAIN
I shook my head and tried to remove the feeling
"What are you doing yun ?" Xingqiu just stared at me
"Oh its nOthInG-" i playfully mocked him
He laughed and punched my arm gently, he looked back at the sky and layed down on the vibrant green colored grass on the ground sighing...
"You know Xingqiu...." i said slowly, i opened my mouth but nothing came out again
Xingqiu turned his head to me and looks at me "what is it yun?" He raised an eyebrow
"Its just that" come on Chongyun, tell him already tell him that you liked him its easy
"Xingqiu" i take a deep breath "i kinda like you"
There... i said it, you ruined this friendship if he doesn't accept, wow Chongyun you actually did it...
Xingqiu got up and sat down facing towards me
"I like you too Chongyun, not as friends but something more" he smiled at me, and there i felt my face getting hot i could feel it turn bright-red, like those time i ate jueyun chillis because of a prank
I look down to cover my face while Xingqiu just sat there giggling at me
"You really feel that way huh Chongyun?" He hummed
"Y-yea...." i stuttered
I lifted my head to see Xingqiu continue reading his book and turned to me "hello Chongyun, are you feeling fine now ?" He grinned
He told me "I'm gonna go back now see ya" he good up, stood still and walked over to me
Huh- Why is he walking towards me when he said he's gonna go back ?
He lowered my head to kiss my forehead and then ran, leaving me sitting on the hill alone in shock
I don't think i can face him tomorrow normally anymore.....
I walked back to the tent but i decided to just sleep outside on the lush grass, I'm too embarrassed to go face him right now
