"I'm telling you magic is real!" A teenager shouted, making the people walking by give him strange looks. "Sorry."
"Magic is not real." A girl said. "As much as you want it to be and no matter how many of your great grandparents' books you read." The five others nodding in agreement with her.
"No, I'm telling you, I actually did it!" He whispered yelled while looking around. "I did a spell, or magecraft as they called it, called grander- no Gandr."
"Alright show us." Another teenager said, he had black hair and was tall with muscles over his body, although it was covered by his school uniform.
"I can't! We're out in public, from what I've read magecraft is supposed to be a secret. Apparently the top magi's control some government, I even saw some spells for mind control! They could be fucking your favorite anime voice actor and you wouldn't know!" He said like he had a point with that last sentence.
"No way!" A boy with dyed white hair said, jokingly. "Why didn't you tell me sooner! I could be out there getting the girl of my dreams and here you are wasting it by practicing a grander-."
"Gandr!" He corrected with his glasses on face. "But that's not the craziest thing. The things that appeared on our hands out for a big ritual, where people summon heroic spirits, heroes of the past. And the winner gets a wish."
"You expect us to believe that. It's just a bruise from the arm wrestling we were doing." The girl from before said, pushing her black hair back, the bottom of it dyed blue.
"No! I can prove it. The grail isn't supposed to pick a group of people that know each other so this might be a greater grail war, so there's groups. We are one group and we fight against another. If- if you just draw the summoning circle and say the chant you'll summon someone." He explained frantically, while pushing up the glasses on his face.
"I say we do it." A meek girl said, carrying her books in her arms. "If it's fake we get a laugh out of it, and if it's real we get a chance to get a wish."
"Oh come on!" Another girl with tanned skin and blonde hair complained. "If it's just a wish and if magic is real, which it isn't, then let's just find a genie, that way we'll get three wishes."
"It's real trust me, just meet me at my house tonight." He said before trying to run away.
"What time?!" The meek girl shouted out nervously, she didn't want to be late to it.
"Um, eight!" He shouted back before continuing.
"Why do we even hang out with him again." The muscle guy asked.
"Oh come on, he's not that bad. He's just into the supernatural, besides it fun to see with he'll come up with next time. Trust me, once he gets out of this magic phase he is a nice guy to talk to." The guy with white hair said.
"Yeah he's not that bad, he just likes the fantasy side of life." A girl with glasses and brown hair said.
When it turned eight most of them were already at Thomas's house, the guy with the glasses. Arron was there, the muscle guy, so was Evelyn, the meek girl, and Jayden, the white haired guy, and Laura, the girl with glasses.
"Where are they? I already have the circles ready and everything." Thomas complained as he went around the circle making sure everything was right.
The rest were going over the chant he had given them.
"Isn't the holy grail the thing- ah, I don't know, something got to do with Jesus or something?" Jayden asked.
"I think so. He drank from it at the last supper and someone collected his blood in it after he was crucified." Evelyn informed them.
