"Hi my dear, you are looking so gorgeous!" Karen said opening the door for Liam and Zayn.

She hugged him rubbing his back gently.

"Thanks," Zayn said shyly.

"Come in love," She said stepping aside.

"Do you recognize me mother?" Liam said entering the house and closing the door behind him.

Zayn always takes away his wind.

"Aww come here you," she said turning towards her son finally.

"Hey Zayn!" Nichole said coming towards them.

"Hi," Zayn greeted and she pulled him in a hug.

"how are you doing? And how's your work going?" she asked pulling away and taking his hand guiding him towards the living room.

"I'm doing fine. And I have to join Ralph Lauren from next Monday," Zayn said sitting on the couch.

"oh my god that's so great! I'm so happy for you! this is such a good news," Nichole said feeling happy for him.

"Thanks," Zayn said shyly, "Um where is Ruth?" Zayn asked not finding her in the house.

"She is out of town to attend some conference," Nichole said.

They sit there chatting until Zayn joined Karen to help with the food. Liam and his sister were deep into some conversation when Karen called them for dinner.

Nichole poured red wine for everybody and passed it to them. Liam replaced Zayn's wine with orange juice since he believed it was not good for him. Zayn watched him and pouted frowning.

"It's not fair!" Zayn protested.

"Shut up babe and eat your food," Liam taking a sip from his wine.

Karen silently cooed at how caring and loving his son was whereas Nichole was a little shocked because she never thought Liam could be that loving and caring for somebody.

They began eating and suddenly that moment Zayn's cell phone went off. His eyes widened a little and he was scared to check his phone.

"Check your phone babe," Liam said looking at him and sensing something off. Zayn nodded and hesitantly took out his cell phone.

Liam frowned looking at Zayn's face.

It definitely was Andre calling Zayn.

Zayn cut the call and turned his cell phone off leaving Liam a little suspicious.

"who was it?" Liam asked.

"Umm. No-nobody. I-I mean just a wrong number," Zayn said but Liam was not convenes with his answer.

Liam wasn't blind. He was just ignoring it. he has been noticing the weird act with Zayn and his cell phone. he saw how whenever he was around and Zayn's phone buzzed, how pale and awkward he used to get. Like he didn't want Liam to know about something or.....someone. but since Zayn had his mouth closed, he too didn't force him to speak.

"Eat your food," Liam said and Zayn nodded.

They ate their food and Zayn went to help Karen with the cleaning.

"Is everything okay?" Karen asked and Zayn nodded sending her a small smile.

"Listen, I have to go. There is something really urgent I have to look into," Nichole said walking in the kitchen.

"Okay, but I made some lemon cake. Have it before you leave," Karen said wiping her hands in the kitchen towel.

"I don't have time mom. Next time. Bye," she said waving at them.
