𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱My cousins had somehow convinced me to come to this party but it was okay since it was a hall party which meant that I didn't have to socialise with a lot of people. We jumped on the train from my house that took us to the location and then we had to walk for some time but I wasn't bothered. The hard bass shook the floor and you could hear the music playing from miles away. When we reached the hall we had to wait in one long-ass line and wait for everyone to get searched and then we were handed wristbands.
I instantly sat in the far corner of the hall and jumped on my phone, scrolling through my messages. After answering them all I switched my phone off and swayed my head to the music. Kenny Allstar ft Headie One & D-Block Europe- Tracksuit Love was playing through the speakers and I lowly rapped along whilst others screamed the lyrics. My phone buzzed and I pulled it out looking at the message my mum had sent me.
Mum❤️
Having fun?I replied with yes and put my phone in my pocket. Sitting down in the corner was beginning to get boring so I made my way to the drinks area and mixed some coke with a little bit of Hennessey. To be honest, I'm not even supposed to be drinking and it's something that I've wanted to stop doing for a very long but I guess one little drink won't hurt.
I lied... one little drink turned into two and two turned into many more and before I knew it I was drunk and felt like I was on cloud 9. I was slightly aware of my surroundings but the alcohol had gotten to my head and it was becoming hard to focus on certain things. My cousin Julio had forced insane amounts of water down my throat in an attempt to sober me up as he didn't want to look after four drunk teenagers. After eating a tiny bit of the food provided I began to feel slightly better but I was fairly drunk still. My vision had cleared up but the water wasn't helping the funny feeling in my stomach.
I felt the sudden urge to go toilet so I rushed out of my seat and sprinted to the toilet. I frowned at the sight of a queue forming outside the toilet and rolled my eyes. These people have time to be waiting. I went into the disabled toilets instead and locked the door. Light sniffles echoed and I switched the light on and found a girl sitting on the floor with her head in her hands. Her legs were folded and her belongings were spread out on the floor.
"In the nicest way possible, can you get out, please? I need to use the toilet badly" I squeezed my legs together
She wiped her eyes and picked up her phone, keys and makeup and placed them back in her bag. The girl stood up and looked at herself in the mirror before bursting into tears again.
"Erm, I need to use the toilet," I said once again and she nodded. "So can you get out please"
"Sorry, I'm such a mess!" she pulled off a piece of tissue
"My boyfriend just broke up with me and it's just ruined my mood. I'll leave now" her lip trembled. "We were together for two years and he just broke up with me for no reason, I'm having such a terrible day. I thought that coming here would lighten up my mood but it's made me even worse. I've lost my friends and knowing them they've probably run off somewhere without me."
"And here I am telling a stranger my business in a disabled toilet. Look at my life!" She sat back down and slumped in the corner. "You can use the toilet I'll just turn around"
I grunted and watched her place her head in her hands and close her eyes. I couldn't be asked to wait any longer so I did what I had to do and used the toilet. I let out a sigh of relief and washed my hands and ripped off a piece of tissue to dry my hands. The girl stood up and dusted off her dress and slung her bag over her shoulder.
"I know you don't care about my problems but thank you for listening. It was nice to have someone finally listen to me. Bye, have a good night." She sighed and unlocked the door, wiping her face one more time before walking out
All I wanted to do was go piss and look how long that took me.
I found my cousins in the kitchen getting more food and drinks. It had gotten late and the party had lost its energy and very few people were dancing or socialising and some people were starting to leave. We sat down for a bit and waited for everyone to make sure they were good before we left. Eileen booked a cab and we stood outside waiting for its arrival despite Kai's groans to go back inside because of the cold weather. The cab soon arrived and dropped us off halfway as we decided that we wanted to go corner shop.
I could just get on the bus home from here anyway, so I had nothing to worry about. I picked up a few things and placed them on the counter whilst I looked for a packet of sweet chilli sensations. I took the blue plastic bag and slid a £10 not on the counter and made my way outside. I noticed Kai's Nike pouch in my hand and thought about giving it back but right now he wasn't in the right state of mind so I would just give it back later.
Sirens wailed in the distance and I stared at the dirty floor while humming a song to myself. Everyone had bought their stuff and we sat at the bus stop waiting for the bus to arrive which was taking forever. Doors slamming caught our attention and we noticed a group of boys walking away from a blacked out car with tints. The engine was left on and I could see a faint figure in the drivers seat.
"Stop staring you don't know who's in there," Eileen nudged my shoulder and focused her attention on the rowdy group of white men leaving the pub across the road
I couldn't help but gaze back at the car. I squinted a bit hoping that it would help me see better but it wasn't any luck.
"Oi! That's the yute that stained my bike! Oi, dickhead!" someone shouted catching our attention
"Ah shit, they're coming over here," Eileen said and hung her head low
The group of boys came rushing over to us ballied up. I put my phone away. One boy hopped off a bike and grabbed hold of Kai's HoodRich jumper. Julio intervened but before he could do anything another boy sent a strong punch to his face. I pushed Eileen to the side and jumped in to help fight them off but more of them were coming from different directions so I ended up getting beat up too.
"Dickhead, you think you can steal my shit and get away with it, huh?"
"I ain't stolen anyone's bike! I don't even know who you are" Kai shouted
"I am a prick? Lie again and see if I don't stab you up in front of your people dem!" The boy raged
"I never stole your bike, bruv! On my mum's life, I never touched your bike." Kai groaned holding his bloody nose
"He already said that he never stole your bike, leave him alone," Eileen said
"Shut up you bitch!" Someone exclaimed
"You never stop my bike outside Morley's in Brixton?" He barked and sent another punch to Kai's face
"Shit, that was me yeah - AHHH!" Kai screamed
"Where's the bike? And if you lie to me I'm gonna stab you." He said and held a flick knife to Kai's chest
"Somewhere in Streatham!" Kai confessed
The boy tucked away his blade and backed off. Flashing us a cheeky grin before he sped off to the black car parked across the road with his boys. They zoomed down the road and a couple minutes later, the bus finally arrived after years of waiting.
"Should've gotten a cab instead," Kai grumbled and walked past the driver
