𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱As I walked up to my mums house I noticed a big crowd and started speed walking to see what was going on. I saw her throwing out a bunch a black bags and two suitcases. My suitcases. I ran up to her and looked at her like she was mad.
"Mum what are you doing?!" I stared at the bags on the floor
"Why did I give birth to such a useless child?" She looked at me and kissed her teeth
"Mum are you mad?" I slowly felt myself getting angry
"All you do is bring trouble to my doorstep. Why Cecilia? What did I do to deserve such a stupid little girl?" She looked up in the sky and flung her hands about
She continued throwing bags at me and she wouldn't stop shouting at me. But what have I done. This woman is throwing out my stuff and cussing me out in front of strangers for what reason. I've only been out of hospital for a couple of weeks and they told me to get some rest and relax. The first few days that I was out, I stayed inside and let my body rest for a while and then I started going out. I wasn't able to most things because my body still ached but I just ignored the pain. And I've noticed that ever since I've come out of hospital my mums just been stressing me out and getting mad at me over small things.
"So you're kicking me out by the looks of it? Have you lost your mind?" I ran my hands through my hair
"Yes. I don't want you here anymore." I pushed up my face at her words
"And where am I supposed to go!?" I shouted
"Anywhere. I don't care where it is but I just want you out of my sight. Do not show your face here ever again." She stopped throwing out bags and walked inside
I followed her and once we had gotten inside, I made sure to slam the door behind me. I stamped my feet whilst following after her. She abruptly stopped and turned around to face me.
"Stamp your feet in my house again!" She raised her hand to slap me
"What are you gonna slap me? Slap me den!" I waited for her to do it
"Why are you shouting at me? Have some respect. Just hurry up and get out of my house." She walked to my room
"Are you fucking crazy, why are you kicking me out? What have I actually done?" I've had enough of her
"Because you're nothing but trouble. You're an embarrassment, you're a fool and you won't become anything in life. If you keep on acting this way you will end up like Junior and Kojo. Dead." I looked at her in shock and shook my head.
I had another brother, Kojo, who was 19 when he died back in 2008. He was walking home from his girlfriends house. He had just gone to visit her and the child that they had together, Azeria, she was a beautiful little girl with big brown eyes just like his. Even though she was a few days old you could see the resemblance between the two. Whilst on his journey home, he was attacked by a large group of boys and we still don't know why till this day. They beat him up so bad that you wasn't able to recognise him anymore. They stabbed him seven times and left him to bleed out on the cold ground. I don't remember much but I just remember the police knocking on our door and hearing my mum cry. Mum didn't want to bury him here so she held his funeral back home in Ghana.
"You're weak. I don't want a daughter that's an embarrassment. I've had enough of it Cecilia. Every night there's police at my door and I hate it." She stepped closer to me
"No. I have had enough of you constantly belittling me all the time. I've had enough of you telling me that I'm an embarrassment. I have had enough of it all! You're a fucking mad woman. I hate you!" I wiped the tears that left my eyes and walked out of the house
The crowd of people had gone down and the rest of the people that were still there, were just eyeing me up and down.
"What the fuck are you looking at?!" I kissed my teeth and pulled out my phone out because of the nonstop vibrating
Adryan💙 wants to FaceTime...
I answered and held the phone up so that he could see my face. I looked in the camera and saw my damp tear stained cheeks.
"Yooo the maddest thing ju- what happened to you?" A look of concern washed over his face
"My dickhead mum kicked me out. She said that I'm nothing but trouble, and that I'm an embarrassment." I hoisted myself up on a wall
"Send me your location, I'm coming to get you and you can stay at mines for however long you want." I heard his front door shut
"Nah it's fine, I'll just book myself hotel room or something." I heard him chuckle
"Cecilia I don't like seeing you upset. You're my cousin, we're family. My mum wouldn't mind you staying over." He started his car and I smiled
"Alright then. I'm at my mums house, you should know where that is but I'll send you the location anyways." I hung up and laughed at the message that popped up on my screen
Adryan💙
𝖣𝗈𝗇'𝗍 𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋 𝗁𝖺𝗇𝗀 𝗎𝗉 𝗈𝗇 𝗆𝖾. 𝖠𝗋𝖾 𝗎 𝗋𝗎𝖽𝖾?I hopped off of the wall and huffed. An unusual feeling washed over me and I just knew that something was going to happen. I quickly called Adryan and let him know that I wouldn't be here anymore and the he should meet me at the park round the corner from the house that my mum lived in. I looked at the house one more time and then walked off. To be very honest, I didn't really care about the clothes that my mum had thrown out because I didn't even wear most of them. I could just buy myself new clothes.
Whilst I was walking, something was telling me not to look back and start running. I felt like I was being followed. I quickly turned my head around and my heart stopped. My body froze and I didn't know what to do. He stopped walking and slowly pulled of his hood, revealing his face.
His eyes were low, he looked like he had just finished smoking. I shook my head and blinked a few times to confirm that it was actually him. It had been years since I'd last seen him. I could've sworn that I saw a grin appear on his face. I turned right back around and started running, pulling out my phone to call Kwame. He picked up instantly.
"Kwame he's back!" I looked behind me and sae that he was still stood in the same place
"Who? Who's back?!" He question
"I swear it's him! It's Kofi, he's back. I-I just saw him." I stopped running so that I could catch my breath
