The night of the bonfire, fairy lights tangled across the trees as the moon shone bright in the dark sky. The stars sparkled as a big bonfire lit up the whole woods.
The crowd dancing along with the upbeat music and alcohol laid everywhere in sight.
Sarah and I arrived at the party, taking in the great amount of people who attended to this fun event.
"Come on, let's look for the boys" Sarah takes my hands leading through the energetic crowd as they dance.
We find Topper and Kelce by the tank of drinks and head over causing them to notice our presence.
"Hey boys" I greet with a smile taking a cup of beer from the table beside them.
"Where's Rafe?" Sarah queried, I hand her a cup as she takes a sip.
"I have no idea" Topper replies looking into the crowded area.
"Yo check it out" Kelce says pointing at a group "they're playing truth or dare"
We look ahead following the direction of his eyes seeing a group invested in an intense game of truth or dare.
"Let's go" Topper and Kelce walk over as Sarah is pulled along.
"You coming?" asked Sarah as she looks back at me who doesn't budge from my spot.
"In a sec" I reply, she nods and walks over to the group.
I only got here and I barely had time to take in my surroundings before I decided to even breathe.
I stand alone, observing the crowd as I drink my cup of alcohol. The moon blissed above the tall trees as the bonfire gave warmth.
I see Leah with Pope and JJ happily chatting on the other side of the party. Knowing she was not alone, did relieve me a bit meaning it wasn't my responsibility if she didn't make it home. I mean, she's probably going to stay at the Château for tonight.
Just as I watch the party, I feel something stand beside me, also quietly observing before it spoke.
"You look good tonight" Rafe complimented with a smirk as I turn my head towards him.
"I'd say the same thing" I grinned as he chuckles under his breath.
"Trying to impress somebody?" He lowered his eyebrows whilst his chin lifted.
