"Thanks, have a nice day"

It was 8.30 in the morning, the bright sun beaming all over Outer Banks as I receive my breakfast order from the local bakery.

In my white range rover I drove off down the road with breakfast. Wearing just gym shorts and a white hoodie I felt a bit chilly but fresh in this morning mist air. The sun just above the horizon of the ocean, the air is cold but fresh against my skin, and the birds happily singing in the misted trees creating a nostalgic feeling in my mindset.

Driving just past the local stores in Outer Banks my music wasn't the only happening in town. Elders walking their dogs, children playing on the sidewalk, waves encountered by surfers, restaurants were busy.

Just pulling up into the Cameron's gate, I parked just beside the large water fountain in front of the main entrance. Hopping out, I grab the coffees which were secured in a cup holder and the breakfast bag from the passenger seat.

Walking into the big door as I hum to myself, Rose was quietly reading a vogue magazine in the cozy lounge drinking her usual hot tea which was considered her morning routine in her perspective.

"Morning Rose" I greeted as I shut the door behind me with a tug of my foot seeing the elder woman rest her feet upon the coffee table.

The Cameron's were like my second family, grew up with them ever since I was an infant.

"Hey sweetie, the others are outside" she responded with a bright smile as I nod and head out the glass doors across the room.

Rafe and Kelce were chatting near the fences busily working on their motorbikes.

"Hey boys, got breakfast" I announced walking up to them carefully handing them a warm beverage.

"Where's Sarah and Top?" I question before Rafe points up towards the roof taking a sip.

I turn around looking up to see Sarah and Top laughing together on the roof near the window of Sarah's bedroom.

"I got breakfast so better hop down before it's gone" I call out causing them to notice as I head into the kitchen followed by Rafe and Kelce behind.

We all surround the kitchen island as I place the beverages and breakfast onto the counter in front of us.

"Where's Leah?" Sarah questions as her and Topper join us in the crowded kitchen.

"She went with Kie today, 'apparently' the Pogues got a new boat" I reply signaling speech marks with my fingers.

"I doubt it's new" Topper scoffs taking a bite of one of the croissants.

Kiara and Leah are Kooks who sometimes hang with us, but usually they'd chill with the Pogues since labels didn't really matter to them. They consider it obnoxious and stupid behavior which I do understand, but I just don't see myself with Pogues in any sort of situation.

Leah wasn't exactly a Pogue, but she likes the Pogues as much as she likes the Kooks. Well, to me I think she definitely favorites the Pogues. She doesn't give a shit or two about it at all, she'd usually just care for herself and that's all that matters. That's why her and Kiara are accurately similar just like Sarah and I.

Sarah and I are seen as the 'Kook Queens' which is a label I absolutely hate being called. But it's pretty much true, other than fashion, beauty, intelligence... we also wish to have freedom once in a while. As daughters of 'perfect' families, we're looked upon the subject of perfect.

But personally, I wish I had the freedom Pogues have. Kooks are always blamed for because of the inconsiderate actions we make only few of the times. But for those Pogues on the cut? They've got nothing to lose.

"Keen for a ride out on the marsh?" Kelce questions us all.

We all agree as we eat and chat together in the kitchen. The Bonfire was tomorrow night and all they talked about was dates. Especially Kelce who wishes to take Kiara even though we all doubted his decisions regardless of what he calls his 'persuasives plans'.

"Bring some beer while your at it" Kelce starts walking backwards towards the door pointing across the kitchen to the fridge.

"Let's go to the dock" Topper says as they all leave the front door.

I start putting the trash from the counter away as Rafe remains in his seat across from me in silence.

"I bet you're only going because I am" he taunted, his lips curling into a smirk.

"Bull shit" I scoff as I turn around opening the fridge behind me.

Rafe stands up from his seat and slowly approaches behind me trapping me with no escape.

I grab a couple of beers and turn around not only to meet with his blue sharp eyes looking deeply into mine while he hovers above me, his arm leaning onto the fridge behind.

His hair parted in the middle, his soft lips and glowing skin just a few centimeters from the tip of my nose.

"Don't be afraid of what you want, you might get it by surprise" He whispers deeply in my ear, the rasp tangling my insides.

It's the typical flirt he gives me most of the time, I could care less about his actions and words though it does seems to impress me every minute.

"Don't act like you know how to satisfy me" I reply back, brushing past him with full eye contact.

He pokes his cheek with his tongue, nodding his head in acceptance while following me out of the kitchen.

I carefully place the beer bottles in the cooler and shut it tight grabbing the handles.

"Cut the flirting you two and hop in!" Kelce shouts from the dock as Rafe and I walk towards Topper's newest yacht they're all waiting in.

"Don't say that again Kelce" I deny Rafe's hand for help onto the boat and just jump in.

"I got the wheel" Topper mentions climbing onto the seat.

Kelce unties the rope which is securing the boat in place and the boat starts drifting off.
