"Dinner?" He asked.

"We've only been here for like two hours."

"I did what I needed to do."

"It's only four," I checked my phone.

"I know a place like forty-five minutes away. We could go there if you'd like," he pushed my hair back.

"Yeah sure," I smiled at him.

"Let's go," he put his arm on my shoulder as we walked.

Madison's POV(chapter 33)

"Zayn, Zayn!" I shouted and grabbed his wrist.

I ran up the stairs of the library. He was struggling to keep up, but I kept running until we were behind the last row of book shelves at the back of the library. Zayn looked like he just went through a tornado. I laughed at the sight of him.

"You okay?"

"You're a little ball of energy this morning, aren't you?" he chuckled.

I sat criss-crossed on the floor and he copied my actions.

"You pulled me back here for business I presume?"

"Yes, and no," I frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I went to work with Harry and I went inside the file room," I started.

"How did you even get in there? No one except the people he assigns are allowed to be in there," he answered.

"Well I snuck in. There were so many files Zayn you would not believe it," I shook my head remembering the number of files in that room.

"I could believe it, Madison. This man is unbelievable, he's border line definition of psychotic," Zayn said seriously.

"I got a sense of that when I met him."

"You met him?! Oh my god, did he touch you? I swear to god," he balled his hands up into fists.

"Yes, but nevermind that. When I went to the file room there were draws labeled in alphabetical order. So I went to "M' which was marked murder..."

"And?"

"And well I looked for Glenda's name and there was nothing," I clasped my hands together.

"Nothing?" Zayn narrowed her eyes.

I nodded.

He seemed to be in deep thought. He looked at his hands before groaning and pushing his hair back. He looked at me quizzically.

"Went I went to Mr.Daily's office...he umm...he didn't believe me...he didn't believe that I liked Harry. He thinks I'm faking," I bit my lip.

"How can he think you're faking? I've seen you with him. It's-It-It should be me," he finally said.

I looked up at him. He was eyeing me. I've never been eyed that way before. I slowly crawled onto his lap and caressed his cheek. I was mesmerized by his beautiful eyes in which his long eyelashes complimented very nicely.

"I wish I could properly take you out on a date, Madison," he whispered.

The conversation changed so drastically. He was easily distracted and now we were talking about ourselves and not what was most important in the moment.
