Madison's POV

It has been a whole month of school already and I'm getting tired of raising my hand and answering pointless questions.

I am currently sitting in the front row of my class with my hands crossed on top of my desk. The teacher was going on and on about the topic she was going to assign us.

I looked around the back of the classroom where I saw a bunch of girls and boys laughing and goofing off. Wishing I was carefree.

I know what you're thinking... "Why can't you? Your mum isn't here to see the way you act in school". That's half right. She isn't here but it's like she is, hell it even feel like she is. She is friends with most of my teachers and they all keep an eye on me. If I slack off she'll know. And that's for sure, but it's not like the teachers like her, she just has money so every holiday then and there they get gifts for letting her know what I'm doing and what I'm up to. My mum must be really out of it if she thinks I don't know all of this.

The bell rang and I slowly gathered my things, taking my time.

"Hey goody goody!" Someone teased me.

I rolled my eyes at their remark and put the strap of my bag over my shoulder.

"I can't say hi to my favorite student?" He tried to say it in a proper tone.

I know what he's doing. He's mocking most of my teachers. It's normal for people to be teasing me, it's something I've been accustomed to all my life.

I turned around and faced the person.

"Just drop it Tommy" I said in a monotone voice.

I walked out of class and into the halls. He followed behind me but I quickly poked my head in my previous class and said goodbye to my teacher.

"Why do you have to be such a kiss ass?" Tommy asked me as we walked through the hallways.

"I don't see the point" He shrugged.

We walked into the cafeteria and into the line to get our lunches.

"Exactly, you don't see the point. You don't have any clue why I'm doing it so just leave it alone" I told him.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry" He said.

I grabbed the tray and the lunch ladies put the slop they call food on my tray. I could say Tommy is my friend, not really though. He just tags along when the people he usually hangs out with isn't here.

"Could you help me with homework?" He asked.

Or when he needs help...

I looked at him with a dead look in my eyes.

"Pleaseeee" He begged.

"Fine!" I huffed.

"Yay!" He clasped his hands together.

I rolled my eyes again.

We walked with our trays in our hands side by side. We walked by tables full of people conversing and laughing.

"Well it seems like the class pet found herself a boyfriend" The girl with dark black hair said.

She stood up from her seat with her hands on her hips, smirking. Of course, of all people why does it have to be Chelsea?

"He's not my boyfriend" I said with no amusement written on my face.

"Awww Tommy and Maddy!" She cooed teasingly.
