Madison's POV

I jolted forward gasping as I looked around. It smelt like latex gloves, realizing I was at a hospital. The room was a plain dull color and I was dressed in a hospital gown.

I pressed the button to call the nurse and one immediately came in. I was impressed with the quickness and wondered if she was waiting outside of the door.

"Oh great you woke up, do you remember anything that happened?" The nurse questioned.

"Kind of," I said groggily.

"I'm going to ask you some questions, okay?"

I nodded.

"Do you remember your name?"

"It's ummm...Madison... James."

"Who do you live with?"

I close my eyes trying to remember.  It took me a bit too long to answer, but I did.

"My mum, Robert and Mitchell."

"How old are you?"

"Eighteen, wait no! Seventeen."Shit.

She came next to me on the bed and took a look at me. She took some notes on her clip board and felt my forehead, checking for my temperature. She put her clipboard down and checked a monitor which I was hooked up to. I could hear the beating of my heart.

"Do you want me to authorize your parents in here to see you?" She asked.

"Yes, please."

"All seems good Madison you're feeling a but confused I bet. You have a grade three concussion. When the young boy brought you in you were unconscious luckily it's nothing too serious. You don't have amnesia and you're just a little slow with answering these simple questions, but with time you'll be right back to normal."

I nodded.

I waited for them to come in and I abruptly heard a knock on the door. It sprung open revealing my Mum's worried face. A smile grew on her face when she saw me.

"Madison, how are you feeling.  I was worried, oh my god," she said as she rushed to my side.

"I think I'm okay," I said as Mitchell and Robert came into the room.

"Hey kiddo," Robert said and stood by my mum.

My eyes flickered over to Mitchell and he was looking at his shoes. My mum placed her hand on top of mine and looked at me.

"Honey, are you sure you're fine?" She asked and I nodded.

"Harry didn't hurt you did he?" She asked.

"No, of course not," I stated. "Why do you think he hurt me?"

"We received the phone call from him out of nowhere. He told us you crossed the road without looking is that right? If not I will make sure to put his ass in jail without hesitation," she gritted her teeth.

"Mum, I assure you Harry is telling the truth. I was just stupid enough to not look where I was looking."

She gave me a look and rolled her eyes.

"That was very stupid of you, but I'm glad you're well now. I'm very happy you're okay," she patted my hand.

I took notice in the IV tube that was in my arm. Was that really necessary?

"You know Mitchell was beyond freaking out when we told him you were here. He was actually worried," Robert said.

Mitchell looked up from his shoes and his cheeks had turned a tint of red. He glared at his dad before diverting his attention towards me. He shrugged and looked away.
