Madison's POV

I dressed in all black today as it was Glenda's funeral. It had been confirmed that she was murdered and it was all over the news. People from the neighborhood left flowers and stuffed animals on her lawn to, in a way pay their respects.

On the tv screen they showed an image of the suspected murderer. They took him into custody and started questioning him.

I've never seen him in my entire life before, and I hope he's the guy. 1, because I don't want a murderer loose, running around and 2, because I hope he rots in jail for his crime. Glenda was such a nice lady and the times when she invited me when Mitchell used to give me a hard time was beyond caring. Maybe she was even more of a mother to me then my own mum.

Speaking of my mum, she was going to send a security guard to watch over Mitch and I but, they have already arrested the murderer so she canceled that. She was also worried about our nutrition so she hired a cook for us and it was a plus because she also cleaned up after us when we weren't home.

Mum and Robert are finally coming back in a week and I'm quite happy...but, stressed. I mean Mum knows that I skipped class, I know I'll never hear the end of that.

Mitchell wore a black suit and we drove to the cemetery where she was going to be placed.

When we got of the car Mitch linked arms with me and walked passed the gates. The entire mood was gloomy and sad. There were people gathered around the spot where they would lay her casket.

I didn't notice how late we were until people started to pass out roses to throw over her casket. I hurried Mitchell so I was able to get a rose.

I heard sobs from people, possibly close relatives. I heard people whisper and I saw them quietly pay their respects.

"Her son didn't even come to her own funeral. What a shame" someone beside me said.

I slowly turned my attention towards her and looked at her. She was around 30 and she was shaking her head in disappointment.

She told me she had a son right? Why wasn't he here? It is after all the death of his mother.

Once the casket was lowered into the ground we were able to throw our roses on top of it. Mitchell squeezed my hand in reassurance and I looked up at him. He had a sad smile and I hugged him tightly.

We left before they could bury her completely and I didn't feel like doing anything productive today.

There was an unfamiliar car parked in our driveway and Mitchell and I looked at each other with a 'who could that be' face. It was a black Lexus, probably the newest model. It was really nice...and expensive. It was probably one of Mum's or Robert's friends.

When he finally parked the car I slowly opened my door. Who could be at our driveway right now?

Mitchell cautiously made his way toward the window of the car. I mean after our neighborhood had been murdered who wouldn't be suspicious of the tiniest things.

Suddenly the car door opened and revealed the last person I would expect to see right now, Harry.

He wore a pair of ray ban sunglasses and a bandana holding back is hair. He closed the car door and walked towards Mitchell.

"Who are you?" Mitchell asked.

"I'm Harry I'm assuming you're her father?" Harry was taller than Mitchell.

He walked right passed Mitchell and walked towards me. He smiled at me.

"Hey baby" He leaned in to kiss me but, I turned my face to the side so he kissed my cheek.
