Previously in chapter 35...

"What's wrong?"

He can tell something is up, Madison. Stay calm, stay calm. I sat up and leaned my body against his.

"Nothing is wrong," I told him.

"You're lying you're a shit liar. Tell me," he urged.

"I'm-I'm just a little s-stressed," I mustered up a lie.

He started rubbing my back.

"You seem a little tense too," he kissed my neck.

I ignored his gesture of affection and kept thinking about how he could be the person who murdered Glenda...

(Chapter 35)

Madison's POV

I sat in the corner of my bed thinking about what would happen tomorrow, when I will be on my way to London with Harry. I can't believe Mum said yes...Well it took a lot of convincing from Robert but, still. I wish this time he hadn't been so successful.

Something made noise across my room and I adverted my attention everywhere around my room. It was pitch black except for the light illuminating from the street lamppost. I clutched my duvet and went under my covers.

I could hear the same repetitive noise and I jumped. I peaked through my covers and saw nothing so I decided to turn on the lights. I climbed out of bed and turned my lamp on so I could finally see clearly.

"Psst, pssst."

I looked over at the window and frowned.

I cautiously made my way towards my window and tried to avoid the floor boards that made a creeping noise. Once I look out the window, I flinched as something came at me. I let out a small shriek and slapped my hand over my mouth. I turned back to look at my locked door, hoping no one awoke from it.

"Hey!" Someone whisper-yelled.

I looked down to see Zayn wearing all black as usual.

I opened my window so I could hear him better. What was he doing here this late at night?

"I sort of broke my phone so I couldn't reach you," he said.

"I tried calling you, I should have known something was up. I really need to talk to you but, everyone is asleep right now. It's super important," I started biting my nails.

"Okay, I'm coming up right now."

"You can't get up here! Like you physically can't," I gawked at him.

"Oh you'll be surprised," Zayn said.

He looked around the side of the house to see if it was climbable. He turned around and stared at the tree. Oh my god, I swear if he climbs that tree... and he's already half way there.

When he was on a branch that was closes to my window he reached for the window sill. I heard a loud thud once he let go of the branch was hanging onto the window sill. I saw him hang on to dear life.

"Zayn! What the hell, you're going to get yourself killed," I offer him my hand.

He took my hand before stumbling on the window which caused us both to end up on the floor. I could hear my parents in the hall way now.

We're so going to get caught, oh my god. Zayn and I both scramble to our feet.

"Hide in the closet," I whispered.

He nodded. He scurried to the closet and shut the door behind him. I could hear multiple foot steps in the hall ways so I quickly closed the window and jump in my bed. I hurriedly got under the covers as soon as I hear the door swing open.
