Madison's POV

"Now that we're home, explain what happened at lunch today Mitchell! What the hell was that?!" I yelled.

He groaned and threw his bag on the floor. I put the keys on the counter and waited for him to answer me. He ran a hand through his hair and heavily sighed.

"Mitchell I'm waiting" I said to him.

"You didn't listen to me Madison" He said lowly.

"I told you to stay away but you didn't listen to me. Why? I told you Zayn isn't good for you. Stop it and just listen to me for once" He said.

"You're nothing but a bitch. You know he isn't innocent; you searched it up for yourself. Did that surprise you? I warned you" He said.

His last words hit me like a brick.

"You went through my Mac Book! You went through my stuff. What's your problem?! I can be friends with anyone I want to. Anyone. And it isn't any of your business with who I associate with. You aren't my family and you never will be. You're just here along with your dad. We were fine on our own without you guys" I scream.

"It not like I wanted to be a part of your family either. It's so stupid, you're so stupid. You don't even understand what you're getting yourself into with Zayn you know what? Forget it. Forget you. Don't you dare worry about me. Go shut yourself in your own little world" He said before marching up the stairs.

I sighed. That was harsher than I intended to but, him going through my stuff. That's just unacceptable. That's how Zayn knew. Mitchell most have told him. What is wrong with them!

"Ahhhhh" I yelled in frustration.

Trouble always seems to find its way in my life. I groaned and walked towards the door. I need some fresh air. I closed the door behind me and immediately the wind hit my face. I closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling.

I walked towards the street and made a right on the sidewalk. I just need to clear my mind.

"Hey! Madison right?" I heard someone shout.

I turned my head to the direction where the voice came from. It was Glenda, the neighbor that invited me for some tea. I smiled and waved.

"How are you?" I tried to be polite.

"I'm fine sweetie. How are you doing? Your brother isn't giving you trouble is he?" She let out a chuckle.

"Actually quite the contrary" I gave a sympathetic smile.

"Oh sorry to hear. If you want you can always come over you know and you can talk to me about your problems" She smiled.

"Thank you"

"Where are you heading?" She asked me.

"Oh, no where actually. I'm just getting some air" I replied.

"So why don't you come in?" She gestured towards her door.

"Oh no...I'd be intruding and you're probably busy" I let out an unnecessary chuckle.

"I insist. Come on, I'm starting to think you're avoiding coming inside. I assure you I'm not of those crazy people in the movies" She laughed.

"Now you're scaring me" I joked.

"Alright I'll come inside" I smiled.

I made sure not to step on her lawn and walked on the tiles that lead to her house. I wonder if she's married. I haven't heard or seen anyone around the house though. It's only been just her.
