Y/n's POV:
"Professor?" James raised his hand.

"Yes, Mini Mr. Potter?" James scowled, as your dad, Neville Longbottom, who had turned in to quite the kidder, laughed.

"Mr. Longbottom, I was wondering..." he took a deep breath trying not to kill your dad as he grinned. You rolled your eyes at your dad, knowing he was giving him a hard time because he knew you liked him.

"Miss Longbottom, do you need detention?" You let out an exasperated sigh, catching the attention of practically the whole class. You hated being looked at, you preferred to be smiled and waved to maybe twice a week.

"No.." he raised his eyebrows. "Sir." You said grumbling and sinking into your seat. He smiled.

"Sorry Mr. Potter, continue." He walked wayy too close to James.
(Idk why but I'm thinking like Hopper from Stranger Things.)

"Uh- yeah so I was wondering when we can go to Hogsmead. Because for some of us it's our last time." He said, sounding Ike he was trying to challenge your dad.

He smiled. "Tomorrow actually, thank you for reminding me. I am supposed to chaperone." James face dropped. So did yours. 'Noooo' you thought. This was supposed to be my chanceee.

As class ended you made a beeline for the door. Your friend, James' sister, Lily came up to you.

"You know, I love you dad outside of hogwarts, but at school he is brutal." You sighed walking to the dinning hall for lunch.

"I know.." you said sitting down at the Gold and Crimson table.

"Can't imagine why..." she wondered.

"I can." You mumbled. She whipped her head towards you to see you staring at James.

"AHHH! YOU LIKE-" you quickly covered her mouth everybody in the Hall was staring at you. You laughed awkwardly. And slid down. You shot daggers towards her. She licked your hand.

"Aghhaghh." You exclaimed wiping her spit off your hand.

She looked at you in shock.

"I cannot believe you have liked him and never told me. It all makes sense now." You slouched playing with your food. The incident in class made you lose your appetite.

"He's graduating, N/n. You have to tell him. You know it'll be another two years till we graduate. Do it now. Not now, tomorrow." She said happily digging in to your food.

You went to bed that night dreading the next day.

~~time skip next day~~

"Ok! Listen up! I will be dividing you in groups of five. This wasn't planned out ahead of time so bear with me."

As he read off names, you could tell he was trying to play match maker.

Your mother, Luna, was nothing like him she would have probably been nice and put friends together. Surprisingly, you somehow ended up with, James, Lily, Scorpius and Rose. You felt bad for poor Albus who was separated from his friends.

"Oh no... I should have thought this through." You heard him mutter as he walked away.

"Stay together!" He yelled over his shoulder.

We decided to go to the three broomsticks.

"Sooooo.. Y/n how's your love life going?" Lily asked as you all sat down. You chocked on your water.

"Uh- um..." the whole table's eyes bore into you, especially James's.

"Yeah. What's happenin Y/n?" James asked accusedly. You gulped.

"Not much." You said as you tried avoiding the stares of your friends.

"Really? Cause I thought it was you, who was all exited about Lily saying you like somebody, at lunch yesterday. (Mouthful)" Scorpius said innocently. You had always like Scorpius... he was sweet.. till now.

"Ok, yeah I heard that too!" Rose said, looking towards you.

"Fine. I like someone. But! It's none of your business's." They all groaned.

As the few hours passed you all had somehow ended up talking about the war.

"Yooo, you dad, though he's challenging... was sooo cool in the Battle." James got so excited when he talked about the Battle of Hogwarts. You smiled at the compliment he gave you, or rather your dad.

"Yeah, he was pretty awesome. Now, however, it's painful to talk to him about things, because he's so protective. Like when I told him I liked James-" your eyes widened. Crap. You thought as you tried playing it off.

"..as a friend you know..." James laughed.

"Yeah right..." Lily, Rose, and Scorpius, somehow muttered at the exact same time.

"I like you too, your not horrible." James cracked an even bigger grin.

You blushed crimson.

"Uh-.." he leaned forward and kissed you. You didn't know what else to do but kiss back. This is what you wanted. You wrapped your arms around his neck.

"Awwwwwww!!" You heard the girls scream, as the poor blonde boy coughed.

You pulled back slightly smiling. He grabbed your hand and held it beside you two on the table.

"Ahem." You looked up to see your dad looming over you.

"Oh shi-" you started.

"Watch your words, young lady." He raised his eyebrows. Then turned his attention to a terrified James.

"Took you long enough. Don't break her heart, mini Harry." He smiled walking away.

James sat stunned.

For James, graduating year to remember.

For you, a start of something new.
