"What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the print I have read in my life."

ARJUN

I was engaged. No longer a bachelor or lone man that didn't give shit about commitment.

Getting married was the last option in my life. Even if happened, I concluded it would be a cordial relationship with whoever it was.

Now it was my reality and to my greatest fate I'm truly looking forward to this part of my new life. With her, every uninterested aspect turning out to be meaningful, emotions made sense to me. I was trying to deal with them instead of avoiding altogether.

Personally, it was a huge progress for me.

Though there are few drawbacks that come along. For instance, dealing with your in laws.

And lucky me, I have a variety to handle so I won't be bored.

It gets better- when my in laws and entire Rajvansh family official met each other few days back. If not for mom and dad, I was seconds away from making a run out of the room or better speak my mind. I had to bite back my tongues from lashing out many times.

The Rajvansh as expected didn't spare a chance to objectify status difference or my in laws getting awkward with every little thing. The table etiquettes served as starters to raise high walls in between. Mom and dad carried most of the conversation trying to ease of the tension. I didn't give a dam about it, it wasn't like they were supposed to spend their entire lives under the same roof.

They would hardly meet in common functions, I don't think it should be difficult to go for the suitable option. Ignore each other. I was only nervous about Meera's reaction, technically she was the one constantly have to be a meander between two families in future.

Again she surprised me by staying calm and observant. Meera entwined her hand with mine whole time under the table of course, at least I was distracted with her warmth. It was difficult not to kiss her senseless right there.

My mother in law presented her suggestions. She was cut to clear without an ounce of hesitation drawing the budget of all the rituals or matters associated to it.

I can't believe for a single day of marriage, there was a whole week of different festivities. The hell, it made sense to me.

All in all, the dates were decided, the expenses were to be mutually distributed. I was highly relieved to end one of the most awkward meet ups of my life. And to think it was just the beginning.

But my dear brother in law was most unlucky one during the entire lunch hour. His jaw remained clenched in obvious annoyance to family drama. Oh, there was another fact to shut him down. I don't think he was even able to digest his food. He brought it on himself though.

So this brings me here to the restaurant as Yuvraj insisted to meet. It would be interesting.

Recently, my days included two things particularly that I hate the most. Patience and conversations.

Taking sip from my coffee, I impatiently waited for Yuvraj. Why the hell did I get here early? The murmurs of people or laughter around was irritating. No particular reason. I was about to call the waiter for check, Yuvraj walked inside passing the glass door and took a seat in front of mine.

"You arrived earlier, trying to impress your brother in law." He comments, placing an order for orange juice to the waiter.

I roll my eyes not choosing to respond. I want to see his reason for this immediate meetup first.
