"Even death has a heart."

ARJUN

Today, I realized something- I didn't know, what are my wife's favorite flowers?

So randomly certain combination of vibrant colors bouquet was placed on the oil tank in front while I'm riding on my bike. I have sort of tied it, hopefully it doesn't fall off. I don't want to go again into the awkwardness of revisiting floral shop.

They look at you weirdly if you are clueless about anything there.

I was confident of the only purpose it'd serve: to bring a gracious smile on my Jaan's beautiful face.

I was already guilty for missing on one of her most important events of life, my Meera finally graduated today. Unbeknownst to her results, I was extremely proud of her. The flowers were just the beginning of reward or surprise I have planned for her.

The real one is a full two weeks trip to north eastern states just like the way she wished for. I can't wait to witness her ecstatic reaction.

Flicking the gear, I lowered the speed because of her voice scolding me in my head "Arjun you have to be careful while riding this, I'm here waiting for you. Don't forget that."

Her simple statement filled with endless care always makes me responsible not only to take safety measures on road but also to be better, to improve myself for her.

Its surreal how one person could hold such impactful power over you with every decision? The best part- she didn't even ask for. It was her love shown every day when the first thing in the morning she'd kiss the mole on right side of my lips as greeting, I couldn't ask for better way to start my day. Then she'd select the outfit for my day along with hers, knowing exactly what I'd prefer.

Making sure I don't leave the home without having my breakfast actually even dad and vivan, no one could deny her sternness. A cute frown resides on her face whenever I'd refuse to have milk which according to her is the world's healthiest and tasty drink, opting for my black coffee.

I roll my eyes just to get reaction from her, she'd boldly sit on my lap and make sure I complete it till the last drop. In our room of course. Being the cocky man I'm, just to feel her on my lap. Totally worth to tolerate the bland, yikes smell of milk.

She'd wipe reminisces of it from my upper lip, taking my chances I lean in for a sweet kiss. While sending me off, she'd check my phone is charged handling my wallet, all the necessities that I don't even pay attention.

She'd diligently call in afternoon at one to remind me to eat or join her for lunch if I could. Surely she had already planned to send lunch pack once I officially start my work. The evenings are lit up with her bright smile she welcomes me with her warm tight hugs. Like she is seeing me after ages.

Following dad's footsteps, I make it a point to take Meera on every other day for long drives or surprise dates or spend talking while watching her k-dramas. Annoyingly I have to bear Vivan's company sometimes.

And I have to act civil as Meera despises PDA. The little brat enjoys way too much my suffering. I smirk, soon I'd enjoy once our families confront him and his lover boy. It'd be fun.

My post-graduation ceremony is still one month away though I make it a point to visit Mr. Agnihotri's firm three days in week to study, analyze whatever the experience he is willing to teach me. Then remaining time, I spend on tracking clues for my mother's accident case.

My mood suddenly turns gloomy mixed with untrained rage to remember the reason behind missing Meera's ceremony.

From recent clues of phone records, certain illegal land property papers that I have been succeeded to grasp have aimed the light on the darkness tunnel. I have been walking into.
