I stared down coldly at Legolas. He sat infront of of me, quivering like a leaf in the wind. "Legolas, you know the consequences of your mistake. You will suffer. It is to fault of your own.", I told him in a low and deadly voice. "Father, please give me another..... chance". He mumbled. Satring awkwardly at his feet. And so he should be, the family-betraying tratior. "Leave!". I found the anger I had supressed for so long beging to come to the surface. Legolas jumped up and ran to the doors. "Good bye Father...". I gave him another cold, hard stare. He gulped and the doors swung shut behind him. Once I was quite sure he was gone I stood and left the room. I walked to my chamber and began to compose a letter to Lord Elrond. He was a fellow Elf. He lived in Rivendell, with Lady Arwen. A good friend of Tauriel's. I wrote:

Dear Lord Elrond,

I have a difficult situation on my hands. Legolas has betrayed the purity of his  bloodline. He was caught kissing a commoner. The traditional way to deal with this would be to banish him. But I can not do this. For I believe Tauriel has feeling for him. I fear that if I banish Legolas, she may follow in pursuit. You know for reasons in between us, I do not want her to go.

Please reply swiftly,

King Tranduil

I set the letter aside, I would send it later.

LEGOLAS'S POV:

I stormed down the corridoors, first someone had to spill my secret, second someone told Father, third Father gets mad and screams at me. And now he's ignoring me. Great. Just great. I needed to escape from the hustle and bustle of the castle. I needed to find and place of quiet and peace. Usually this would be Tauriel. I was banished from seeing her. Where to now? The woods? No, it was after curfew. My room? No, Father might be spying on me. The roof? Too late, it was dark. Sighing, I went to the only place I had left. The kitchens. I stumbled to the nearest oak bridge. It would take me to the kitchens. I took a deep breath and began my slow, gloomy decesnt to the kitchen. I slumped through the semi-darkness. I was only half way down when something happened. Light! Lamps flickered with flames, the fire crackleing merrily. I used to love watching that happen. Ever since I was a young Elf. Now in the light I saw the door. I pushed open the door and sighed. The warm smell of cooking hit me like a wall. It was so nice. I closed my eyes and inhaled. The sound of feet running came close to me. I opened my eyes. A petite maid was running towards me. She curtseyed. "Prince Legolas, I must ask you to leave. Your father, King Thranduil has ....um..... banned you from the kitchens. I am so sorry.". She looked it to. Her eyes were wide and slightly... owlish. She gave a tiny cough and began closing the door. Getting the message, I turned away and began climing the bridges again. I paused and looked back at th kitchens. The door closed with a sharp snap. I guess I'd have to find a new spot. Swoosh! What was that? I drew my daggers and listened. Swoosh! There it was again! I looked up, I saw the edge of a gold embroided cloak. I reconised tha cloak! It belonged to Lord Elrond! Why was he here? I crouched low and began to tail him. He was heading to the throne room. I crept faster. Surely he was here to see Father. I pulled my boots off and ran to the end of the bridge. I crossed the corridoor and lept up a low set of stairs. I stopped. Everything was dead still. I threw myself flat on the ground. I scutteled behind a huge, marble flower pot. Only second later did Lord Elrond pass. I waited until he started crossing the bridge to the thron room. Not wasting any more time I ran to the next set of stairs. I landed at the top and sprinted to a bridge close to the Throne Room. I put my boots back on. Sliding my hand into a fold in my armour, I felt around for my rope. I yanked it out of the fold and pulled it out. It was used, so it was quite dark. But it was magical. It was very strong, even though it had been used many times before. I tied a loop and began weilding it above my head. I let go of one end and let the rope fly loose. It curled around the lampost before flying back to me. I reapeted this several times so it was strong. I tied the end to the loop using a four-leaf-clover knot. I grabbed the rope and climed on. I gasped. I was suspened in mid-air. By an enchanted rope. Remembering why I was here, I slithered futher down the rope. I pulled out a little silver string. It allowed me to enhance the level of sound that things had. I let it go. It wriggeled towards the door. It rested on the handles. I heard Lord Elrond speaking.

"That is so Thranduil, then this situation is very serious. You could loose your whole kingdom just for that one little thing.". Elrond sounded serious. Was something bothering him? They were speaking again. Thranduil this time. "Elrond, as you know I am serious about this. I need to keep my position. People won't notice this way. But I can not let-" Elrond cut across Father. "Thranduil, make up your mind. I didn't come all this way for nothing. I came for a reason.". Elrond was coming. I needed to move. NOW
