Chapter 11 ~ MilkyBar
"What's with your nose Ms. Newton?" Dhruv spoke out finally after eyeing my nose suspiciously since the moment, I entered the garage.
I had tried to treat it by myself tying a makeshift bandage from the first aid kit found in the guestroom.
"It's nothing," I told him turning away fiddling with the straps of my backpack.
We were yet here again, for the second day at St. Xavier's, we were waiting for Faisal in the garage for him to get down so that we could immediately leave before others wake up and noticed our absence. Others left only Sahil and Soumya and also if we counted the servants of the house too. Sahil and Soumya great! Why do I care!
After repeating the same thing and getting my nose broken and again hurt by Sahil, I mean I never thought of myself as a fool, repeatedly making the same mistake every time, betrayed and crushed by the same guy but now it made me think twice.
That, I was really a fool.
A fool to believe Sahil was troubled too, just like any person struggling with his own demons, he was undergoing something difficult too like..me.
I was unconsciously trying to find reasons for his actions, for his behaviour, thinking he wasn't like how he showed himself as. There was something more to it, something deep, understandable, something which made him less like a devil or an enemy and it could also explain why I get drawn towards him like a moth to a flame.
And, for thinking like that way,
I was a fool.
An emotional fool.
No one deserves to be treated like he did, it was just inexcusable.
I was wrong and stupid and self destructive to feel anything towards him.
Yet, still I wanted to sit with him and know what goes in that reckless mind and wrecked heart?
Just this morning I once again reminded myself why I was there for, A revenge and for God's sake I should just stop meddling in other things and causing it backfired at me!
"You just poorly covered your nose with white bandage for nothing?" Dhruv continued bugging me he tried to move to my right to get a proper look when I tried to get away from his speculation.
"It is nothing Dhruv, I- I bumped-" I stammered.
He shot me a disconcerting look like it was my mistake I mean it was but can he stop looking so judgemental like I was the stupidest person on this earth?
