Tessia Earlith -PoV-

"ARTHUR" Sylvie and I yelled out in unison as we ran to Arthur.

"Welcome back, king Grey." Said Zedd, as I heard this I turned around to look at Zedd to see him smiling with an evil grin.

No... This can't be, Arthur can't disappear he can't leave me like this, king Grey won't come back, he promised me he won't.

"How could you? He trusted you, we trusted you." I screamed at Zedd, whose grin never wavered.

I turned back to look at Arthur with blurry vision, his irises now had a slight yellow tinge around them, he was unconscious with his eyes opened, his eyes which were always filled with color and life were now emotionless and dull.

I was sobbing afraid that the boy I loved was now gone, Sylvie next to me was crying as well and unlike me, she could feel Arthur's emotions, which confirmed it for me...

I buried my head into my hands when a sound I would've never expected to hear from Zedd tore through my ear, Zedd was screaming in pain? Not only that, but he was also bleeding from his head, never have I seen Zedd in pain or even bleeding this entire year.

Even when Arthur, Sylvie, and I hit him with enough blunt force to level a mountain, he never even winced, but this time he seemed to be in great pain, just what on earth could make Zedd bleed?

I could see Zedd's right arm start to glow purple, taking that as my signal that I am going to die, I sat down and accepted my fate hoping to meet Arthur in the afterlife, although the death I've thought I was going to get didn't happen.

Zedd was right arm was being brought down, but it looked like his own body was resisting him bringing his arm down, I looked at Sylvie who looked confused, and Arthur who was still unconscious but looks unharmed.

"Stop resisting, Aurora." Said Zedd with difficulty, his tone filled with rage. "I can use him to finish this war, to avenge my people, our people. Please." Zedd pleaded.

"All we have to do is kill his loved ones, then he can become that invulnerable weapon once more," Zedd added panting heavily, resisting whatever is happening.

Taking a glance at Sylvie she looked just as confused as me, looking down at Arthur he was still unconscious and shaking hard, Zedd was still trying to bring his right arm down yelling out in pain.

Zedd's left arm started glowing in a bright red light, knowing I can't do anything to harm Zedd I just waited, his face was sweating and bleeding, his breathing heavy and haggard, his left arm glowing in a bright red light, while his right was glowing in a bright purple light.

I could see his eyes widen "Aurora! Don't you do it!" Zedd shouted.

His left arm was brought down creating a tear through space, before I could even piece together whats happening, Sylvie and I were teleported to a large bedroom, I knew this room too well it's my room in the flying castle, the same room I was in when Arthur told me about his past life as Grey.

I cried for longer than I would like to admit, Arthur was gone replaced by Grey, Zedd just tried to kill us and I have no idea what to do, this was the first time in a long time that I truly felt hopeless.

Sylvie was also crying even while we tried to comfort each other we couldn't help but cry, what are we supposed to do now? The door flung open and a figure that I've always looked up to was staring at me with disbelief.

He ran over to Sylvie and me and hugged us tightly his own eyes teary, the bags under his eyes screamed exhaustion, which I expected seeing as I disappeared from a dungeon after Arthur disappeared as well.

"Little one, where have you been? Are you okay, what happened?" My grandpa bombarded me with questions his own voice coming out husky.

I couldn't say anything past my uncontrollable sobbing and hiccups, Sylvie, on the other hand, managed to compose herself wiping away her tears, she started explaining what happened in the past year, her voice husky and the occasional hiccups caused her to repeat herself a few times.

My grandfather's teary yet happy eyes turned grim and depressed as Sylvie finished her story, my grandpa seemed to already piece together that the barrier was made by Zedd, and that this girl who seemed to be no older than 10 was Sylvie.

"So that's what happened..." My grandpa muttered hugging me tightly as I cried into his shoulder, unwilling to speak past my sobs.

Virion Earlith -PoV-

Its been 3 months since Tessia and lady Sylvie have come back, Tessia took a few missions these past few months but mostly remained in her room, Sylvie would always stay with Ellie to keep her company and protect her.

It honestly hurts seeing her like this, she has barely spoken to anyone or even left her room, the council and me also had to have a lot more meetings to figure out what to do in the war after Arthur's disappearance.

I'm in my office reviewing a mountain of paperwork as of now, brat you better come back otherwise I'll drag you from hell back to the battlefield, even while thinking of the amusing sight of dragging Arthur by his collar back to the battlefield I couldn't even smile.

The door to my office burst open, looking up from the paperwork on my desk I could see the entire council and all the remaining lances looking panicked and worried, just what could cause all the lances and council to be this panicked, is it a scythe?

"Elder Virion, there are two beings fighting each other under the castle, the entirety of the forest below us has already been destroyed." Lance Varay spoke in by far more emotions than I've seen her display this entire year combined.

"What do these beings look like?" I asked as I stood up and started running to the castle's trapdoor, already fearing the worst.

"One has red hair and eyes and looks like a 16-year-old male, the other looks like an old man with grey hair," Lance Bairon spoke up.

It's Zedd, what the hell is he doing here? And just what could fight Zedd to the extent of an entire forest being destroyed from their clash.

Looking down from the open trapdoor I could see the blue cuts in the space around the forest, varying in size and shape, the other thing I noticed as soon as I arrived was the purple flames.

Unlike normal fire these purple flames weren't burning the trees, they were just covering them as if protecting them, the same couldn't be said to the mana beasts touched by the flames, the flames immediately lit the mana beasts on fire and burned them to ashes.

The two of them stopped their fight and seemed to be talking now, Zedd seemed calm while the other man seemed to be angered as if flames were about to burst from his eyes.

"Wh-Who the hell are these people?" Spoke up king Glayder, his voice and body trembling.

Looking back I could see the entire council trembling and the lances while able to handle the pressure radiated from these two from this distance, they seemed to know if they even came close the pressure alone would crush them.

They were talking calmly, as time went on so did the pressure radiating from the old man, while Zedd completely held back his pressure and aura, even with my beast will I couldn't sense their aura.

The old man looked up his eyes burning with rage and locked eyes with us and smirked, Zedd completely released his pressure after the old man said something, Zedd's pressure was so strong that even from this distance my knees began to buckle.

The old man leaped back several dozen meters, as he started sweating and his breathing became heavy, his annoyed nonchalant look turned into a look anyone would have in this situation, fear.

"You have no idea how long I've waited for this, father,"
