Meeting the band

Luz P.O.V

I look up at the girl in front of me and start to think I dreaming. I'm looking at her dead silent in shock to the point where I have to reach my hand out and touch her shoulder to make sure she's real.

"Yeah, your definitely real" I'm sitting there quiet when someone else speaks up "Hey, Amity you ready to get to practice?" I look up and I was right she is familiar. Willow stops mid step and looks over at me.

"Luz?" "Willow you know her?" Willow nods then speaks up "that's Luz, the girl I texted you about. She's a huge fan of the band" Amity turns and looks at me again but I'm still frozen in shock.

"Hey, uh human? You there?" I seem to come back to reality and I do something that's probably one of the dumbest things I can do, I throw myself forward and end up hugging Amity.

"Uh, Willow, situation" I take a step back off her and look down embarrassed for what I just did. "I'm so, so sorry! That was very wrong of me I shouldn't have done that I'm so sorry!"

I can feel Amity looking at me like she's judging me and hates me now. "Luz it was right?" I look up at her slightly still feeling guilty "yeah" I say this but less happy more of just trailing my words.

"Willow told me a little about you" this time I do look at her feeling my face flush a little, "s-she did?" I say this and not realizing that it would come out like that until I said it, nervous what Willow told her.

"Yeah, she told me that your a huge fan? I'm sure Boscha would love to hear that" I can hear her laugh a little at that "the lead singer!" I end up slightly shouting that without meaning to just being overly excided.

Amity looks back over at me after saying that, "sorry, again" I go to look away when Amity speaks "you seem to know a thing or two, who's the bassist?" she looks a me again quirking an eyebrow.

"Augustus, or as he tends to go by Gus" Amity looks at me slightly shocked "impressive not many know his real name, they just know him as 'Gus'." I look up at her smiling proud of myself.

"Who's on drums?" Amity questions me again "Willow. Now that I realize that I feel slightly dumb for not recognizing her before" Amity just laughs again "well do you know who's lead guitar?"

"Of course! It's you!" I smile at her and she just smirks "well you got the easy ones, what about second guitar?" she looks at me again looking to see if I'll get it "Emira, she's on second guitar she's also your sister."

Amity looks at me again even more shocked "okay what about keyboardist?" Amity seems to be challenging me with this one "correction, there isn't one unless Emira is out then Viney will fill in on the keyboard. But then again Emira isn't usually there nor is Viney but when needed they'll be there"

"Wow, I knew you told me you loved that band but I didn't know you knew this much" I look over at Willow and smile "it is impressive Luz, your like the only one who's been able to get all of that." Amity seems honestly impressed with me.

All I can do is get flustered a the fact that I'm face to face with Amity, "would you like to meet them?" I look over at Willow and I don't have anything to say so I just nod "Willow, don't you think she has stuff to do?"

"Well yeah but I doubt it'd be a problem if she came to hang for an hour or two" Amity just groans and looks at me again "if you guys are busy, I won't bother you. But I'd really like to meet the group at some point."

"You can come it's not a problem, just we have something to work on so if you don't bother us to much then I don't care if you come" "alright! I'll grab my car and I can follow you or you could text me the address."

"I'll text it to you but I'm going to need your number" and that's when it dawned on me that I was going to give my number to Amity Blight and that's when I panicked "I uh, have no idea what it is" "You don't know your number?"

I mentally face palm, then head to contacts on my phone and hand it to her to let her put her number in. "I'll send you the address and you can meet us there" I nod and wave them off them quickly text my mom that I'm going to a 'friends' house and I'll be home later, I then get to my car, put the address in and leave.

~~at the studio~~

I park outside the studio and see what I'm assuming is Willow's car and Amity's car, but only the two. Guess the others aren't here yet, I text her that I'm here and she replies with a thumbs up so I get out lock the door and head in.

Once I'm in I can see their instruments set up already and a couple of guitars on the wall. I look around more and find Willow and Amity at the table "glad to see you found it" Willow says this with a smile.

"This studio is so cool!" I'm still in awe as I'm taking another look around "you can come sit and put your bag down" I look over at Amity and nod then head over to the table and set my bag down on the floor.

"So, who's coming today?" "well Boscha should be here any minute now and I know Gus is coming. Emira and Viney I doubt are coming" "Em told me she wasn't coming since her and Viney had something planned today."

I'm just listening in not quite knowing what to do when someone comes through the door "Sup, homos" my eyes light up when I see Boscha walk through the door, she seems to notice me pretty quickly and she sets her bag down.

"Who's the chick?" "This is Luz, she's a huge fan of us" Boscha looks at me and I look back at her and notice the one thing that sets her apart from the rest. Her signature third eye. "Nice to meet ya Luz" I wave back at her grinning stupidly.

"Am's is Gus here yet?" "no he said he was going to be a little late today." "Alright. Willow, you making dinner tonight?" "No, we were all going out to eat after practice remember?" Boscha nods and walks over and grabs a water from the mini fridge.

"So, I don't know much yet but wouldn't it makes sense to tune your instrument so when Gus get's here he only has to tune his bass?" the three of them look at me speechless "we never thought of that, thanks Luz. We may need you around more."

After Willow had said that I smile knowing that I just got to help them with something. I start tapping the table while they start tuning and adjusting things to comfort. "Luz, you mind helping me a second?" I look up at Amity and nod to see what she needs help with.

"I need you to plug in the amp for me and adjust the volume to five" "I can do that" Amity gives me a soft smile and hands me her amp. "Where do you want this plugged in?" "Just into the power strip. I need to make sure everything sounds right."

I plug in the amp for her and turn the volume to five and give her a thumbs up and she works on tuning her guitar. After she's done the others finish up not soon after and that's when Gus walks in and gets to work.
