June 22, 1962

Scotty Smalls sadly sat on his front door steps with a busted plastic glove and a black eye.

As Scotty was playing around with the busted mitt a pale girl, and a tan boy walked up to him.

As soon as Scotty looked up, the two were at his driveway

"Hey uh we're going to go play some ball, wanna go?" Benny asked the sad boy

"Uh, no thanks" he responded looking down not wanting to embarrass himself even more

"Why not?" Adeline was the next to ask

"Don't you like baseball" Benny finished
"Well, yea but"
"But what?" Benny interrupted

The young boy sadly sighed trying to find an excuse
"But uh- my glove, it's ruined see now I can't play" he stuttered.

Adeline rolled her eyes in annoyance knowing it was just an excuse

"It's ok, I got another one" Pulling out a glove from his back pocket he tossed it to Scotty

"Come on le-"

"Hi, Benny Boo!" A high giggling voice interrupted the girl

The two turned around to see, Heather. Heather was the most popular girl in the school.
Blond hair, blue eyes. 'Girly' is what some would say.
Heather always had a crush on Benny ever since she met him in the sixth grade, then Adeline came along with Benny and Heather hated her.
From that day on, Heather always made fun of Ada

"Mom I'm going to play ball!" Scotty exclaimed throwing his old glove in the house, closing the door he made his way to the two with hands intertwined.

Both of they're attention turned back to the boy walking towards them, the two mentioned to follow them

As the three passed the angry blond she was glaring holes through Adelines head while walking away with hands on her hips
