"I'm worried about him Hajime," Shinso Mihoko said to her husband in a hushed tone as the couple sipped coffee at the dining room table.
"He's never brought home any friends. And I know he doesn't say anything about the bullying but I can tell it effects him. Plus he's still bummed out that he didn't get into the hero course, I'm scared of how the kids at UA will treat him."
Hajime looked to his wife, the heavy bags under his eyes decreasing the emotion he could visibly express. "Ko, honey, our boy is strong, he'll be alright."
Mihoko sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I know I just... I wish he had some friends who could have his back."
"Who knows, maybe he'll make some new friends at UA."
Shinso Hitoshi, the son who the couple were talking about, stood in the hall, listening to every word his parents spoke.
"Friends... yeah that's likely." He huffed sarcastically.
****
Definitely not making any friends. Shinso thought as he stood in the halls of UA, hot coffee covering his uniform and his ass on the floor.
He groaned, looking to the person who had knocked him over, and spilled coffee on him.
His lavender irises landing on a mop of sky blue hair, and a pair of big, matching eyes.
The girl blinked, as if finally processing what had just happened, before getting up and offering her hand to Shinso.
"I am so sorry! Does that burn at all?"
Shinso shook his head, proceeding to get up on his own.
"Well at least let me help you get cleaned off, and I'm making you late to class now too, my bad. And on the first day!" Her rapid and energized speech caused Shinso to widen his eyes, and he didn't have time to think or say no before the girl grabbed his hand and started pulling him down the hall.
"I'm pretty sure I trashed your uniform, I know where they keep extras though so you've got nothing to worry about." She said, sending him a bright smile.
"Except punctuality apparently." Shinso muttered to himself, but apparently the girl overheard him.
She giggled, "yeah, sorry about that. I'm sure your teacher won't mind once you explain. Not like it's your fault."
They reached what appeared to be a supply closet door, and the girl went to open the door only for it to be locked.
"Ah bummer. Oh well a lock has never stopped me before." She shrugged, holding her hand hovering over the lock.
Shinso tilted his head in curiosity when he could see nearly invisible waves emitting from the girls hand, fanning out to the door handle and violently shaking it for a few seconds before she lowered her hand and it ceased its movement.
"That should do the trick." The girl smiled before turning the knob once more, the door opening with ease.
Shinso remained silent as the girl entered the closet, she glanced at Shinso before rummaging around in the closet, she re-emerged with a folded set of clothes.
"Ta-da! This should be the right size. Sorry again about spilling coffee on you, and making you late."
Shinso took the clothes from her, not meeting her joyful gaze. "It's fine."
"Tori." A gruff voice called from down the hall.
The two teens turned to see none other than Shota Aizawa staring at them with a tired glare.
Shinso stiffened, this is not the way he wanted to meet his favorite hero, the man he idled more than anyone. A terrible first impression, to be seen covered in coffee loitering in the halls.
"What are you doing?" Aizawa asked, his question seemingly pointed at the girl.
"Hah, sorry. I spilled coffee on someone again." The girl, Tori, answered.
Aizawa sighed. "Get to class, now. Both of you."
"Okie dokie!" Tori said, clasping her hands behind her back and skipping towards Aizawa. She turned back to Shinso, that same bright and bubbly smile on her face. She gave the lilac haired boy a small wave.
"See you around!"
Aizawa and Tori walked off, leaving Shinso dumbfounded.
What just happened?
