Weeks have passed since I have moved in with Jc, he still hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet.  I only gain more confusion as to what we're even doing. Even his friends don't know why. I asked Kian, his closest friend and he couldn't even tell me why he was being that way with me because "jc is so into me".

I was getting out of my new parked car. I'd figured since I moved to LA I needed a form of transportation because paying for my rides was getting expensive. I've been making more money luckily, but you can only make that stretch for so long here. I locked the car and walked into the house where the boys were eating their food and playing ping pong.

"Hi guys," I said greeting them.

"Heyy!" They all shouted in echoes as they were each focused on different things.

I went to the room and set my things down grabbing clothes to put on after my shower.

"Hello beautiful, get ready we're going on a date." Jc said excited sounding like a little boy.

"We are? A date? Really?" I questioned surprised.

We haven't gone on any.

"Yes, So go and get all pretty I'll go get all pretty for you too." He said with a goofy smile on his face.

"Okay?" I said laughing nervously.

I told Xena to get ready. I told her it was a date and I really wanted to make the occasion special. I was finally going to ask her to be my girlfriend, I planned a picnic for us at the beach and drinks as well as to go watch the Shang-chi movie since that's all she's been talking about wanting to go see. I even went to go buy a gold chained necklace for her since she had mentioned she lost hers a week ago and was upset about it because her grandpa gifted it to her.

"It's happening guys," I said nervously in the kitchen.

"Finally, are you buying me a Tesla?" Wyl joked.

"No, I'm going to finally ask Xena out." I said.

The guys cheered and howled.

"I was wondering when that was happening," kian laughed.

"Eh, he's too much of a pussy." Crawford said grinning.

"Shut up , I am not." I said hitting him.

"We're rooting for you king go get your girl!" Brian chimed in.

"Thanks guys, i have to go put the stuff in my car in the meantime." I said.

I was so jittery and nervous. I went to get everything ready and our blankets for the beach. I went back in fixed my hair and put on a decent outfit and sprayed the cologne I knew Xena liked. After the first time we hugged each other she never stopped talking about how much she loves the smell of it. She even told me one time to never stop wearing it.

"I'm ready you fool," I heard her voice from behind me.

She wore a nice flowy maroon dress and a cozy oversize beige cardigan. She had on her doc marten boots and her mini purse to the side. Her hair grown a few inches longer over the months and I was obsessed with her kinky curls. Her tan skin was glowing. Her pretty face full, dawning light brown eyes and thick brows and eye lashes. Her sweet as always smile beaming at me. I felt so proud to make her mine.

"Let's go before I change my mind," I said smirking at her and putting my arm around her shoulder.

"Stop it," she said rolling her eyes .

We walked out and said bye to the boys.

"Bye guys, be on your best behavior. Don't do anything I would." Oscar said.

"Oh we know not to," Xena and I said and laughed.

I rushed up to the car opening the door for her.

"Here you are my lady," I said.

"Are these for me?" She said motioning to the flowers I left for her on the passenger seat.

"Of course," I said smiling trying to hide my red face.

"Thank you theyre so pretty," she said grabbing my face and kissing my cheek and she looked content holding them.

Jc refused to tell me where we were going and asked me to keep my eyes closed before he gave up on reminding me to keep them shut and just decided to blindfold me.

"Why can't I know? Why are you being so sus?" I said laughing slightly annoyed trying to figure out what was happening.

"Just wait, be patient Xe. I already told you it was a surprise!" Jc replied laughing.

"Fine, I give up." I said defeated.

"We're almost there." He said.

He's been so sweet to me lately.

"Here open the windows and maybe you'll be able to tell," Jc said rolling down our windows.

The noise of seagulls and crashing waves nearby. The air salty and humid.

"The beach!" I said excitedly.

He lifted off my blindfold and he parked his Jeep. The sun already starting to set and it looked so peaceful.

"I have stuff for our picnic in the back," he smiled at me.

I looked at him all teary eyed but I didn't want to cry.

"You didn't." I said smiling.

We got out and I helped him carry the blankets and drinks and he carried a cute woven basket with our snacks in it. We picked a spot and got our stuff all settled in our area and we drank and ate the surprisingly good food he made for the two of us.

"Xena," He said brushing back a piece of hair that was in my face.

I got nervous and hot. My heart was beating a hundred beats per minute it felt like.

"I want to make you all mine. No confusion no waiting around on things anymore." He said.

He paused to reach into his pocket to get out a large box with velvet lining.

"I know last week you mentioned you lost your necklace, I know it's not the same and it probably won't compare but I got you another one similar." He said showing me a beautiful shiny gold chain with a rose golden charm.

"Thank you jc! You really didn't have to," I said grabbing the box he was handing to me.

"Will you be my girlfriend Xena?" He asked me nervously and looking at me with a smile but serious tone.

I grabbed his hand.

"Of course," I said grinning and touching his face and his features softened. We both leaned into each other for a warm kiss that only sent sparks in the air. Like our first. And he enveloped me in his arms.
