9 || State Fair

I went to go play kickball with the boys and we had made plans to go to the state fair afterwards. I messaged Xena to come meet with us at the fair after she was done at the studio. The boys and I already finished our game of kickball and started getting into our cars making our way to the fair.

I was waiting at the front where the ticket booths where and I saw the boys walking up. I walked up in their direction and greeted the boys and found Jc.

"Hey how was kickball?" I asked Jc.

"It went great, we won by the way right Oscar?" Jc said proudly and grabbing oscars shoulder.

"Yeah, and by the way You should tell Maria I miss her, I just texted her that a few minutes ago but still. Your girls are coming with you next month right?" He asked and I laughed.

"Okay I will do just that, and yes we are." I replied laughing.

We got into the fair and started going on a bunch of rides. We were all having fun, some of the boys filming their YouTube videos and we all just had a great time bonding.

"I haven't been to any fairs for like years!" I said shouting with a smile across my face after getting off from a ride.

"I know it's been a while for me too today's been a pretty fun day," Jc said agreeing with me. I started to get thirsty and in the mood for a little food.

"I'm going to get some drinks do you want something?" I asked Jc.

"If they have funnel cake can you bring one? We can shareee?" Jc persuading me into getting one.

"Okay I'll be back then," I said leaving his side to the concession stand.

I ended up waiting in line for a good 15 or maybe 20 minutes because it was so packed. After getting my drink and funnel cake I walked back to where the boys were playing games. They were playing this one game where they had to throw stuff at glass bottles. I was approaching the stand and I look off to my side and Jc is kissing with another blonde haired girl who I didn't even see for the last hour near our group.

I watched them kiss and awkwardly switched up my speed to avoid being seen. Who was she? Do her and Jc know each other? I questioned to myself.  After a few minutes Jc had came to join the group again.

"Bye Jc!" The blonde girl that he just had his face smashed up on said and turned to walk away.

Xena had left for a while to get the stuff and the boys and I were at a booth playing a game. All of a sudden a girl had approached me, I recognized her face from pictures on social media and I suddenly remember. I went through a phase after my breakup of just starting to talk to other girls to keep myself from being bored and lonely. Her name was Makayla we went on a few dates but I was never that into her if I'm being honest. She's pretty but has a terrible personality in my opinion.

"Hey Jc, nice seeing you here." The girl greeted me.

"Oh hey I didn't even recognize you at first," I said nervously hoping that by the time Xena came back she was gone.

"Can we talk?" She asked.

"Uh yeah sure, what about?" I asked curiously. Nothing really happened between the two of us it was just all fun and games. We never hooked up either so I wasn't sure what there was to talk about.

She led me to the side of the booth from where the rest of the boys were.

"Well I just wanted to ask why you haven't been replying to my messages I thought we were like starting to get close?" She asked upset.

"Oh sorry well I've been busy, and Uh I don't know I think I just have to give myself more time. I'm still not ready for another relationship ri-"

"Well I saw you were with that other girl here, so what's that about? I don't even know who she is is she an influencer or what?" She cut me off furiously.

"She's my really good friend really it's not a big deal," I said getting angry.

"So would she care if I kissed you?" She asked.

I was confused and thrown off about the whole situation.

"Hold up, kiss? I-"

Before I could finish my sentence she had leaned into me and started kissing me grabbing onto my shirt tightly. I lightly pushed her off of me and she pulled away and let go.

"What the hell? Why would even you kiss me? I don't like you." I said to her pissed off now.

"Tell your little friend that." She just laughed.

"Bye Jc!" She said smirking walking over to her friends who just laughed.

I didn't even bother to say bye, I walked over back to the crowd and I had seen that Xena returned. I came up to them and they were still trying to beat each other.

"Who even was that?" Christian asked me.

"Dude I don't even know what just happened, she was some girl I used to talk to and she just kissed me out of nowhere." I responded.

I came up to Xena.

"You're back!" I said trying to shake off the feeling of awkwardness.

"Yeah," she replied and tried giving me a subtle smile. She looked like she had just seen a ghost.

Shit she saw me.

"Uh here," she said giving me my cake.

"Oh thanks, I owe you." I said grabbing it.

"It's okay, in return for the coffee and flowers you gave me yesterday." She said trying not to be awkward.

"Uh, listen what you saw wasnt-"

"It's okay you don't have to explain anything to me after all we're just friends right?" Xena said.

I looked at her sadly and I could tell she was upset. I wanted to be a lot more than just friends with her. That kiss meant absolutely nothing to me.
