I came home late, Xena never went back to the party and I was starting to get worried. I walked through the house I was the only one here and the rest of the boys were still out.

"Xena!" I called and my voice just echoed through out the house.

I approached my room and opened the door. I saw Xena sitting on the bed sniffling.

"Xena what's wrong?" I asked her concerned.

"Jc, I'm sorry." she said letting out a quiet sob.

"did something happen?" I asked.

she handed me something and I couldn't quite see what it was because the room was dim. I grabbed it and held it up examining it. my eyes going wide.

"Jc i'm pregnant," she said.

I was speechless and I didn't know what to say.

"jc?" she croaked.

"I-i'm sorry." Was all I could say.

I couldn't believe it. What do I even do. I'm not even ready to be a father. Maybe we were moving too quickly with everything.

"why? what is it you need to tell me," she questioned concerned.

"I just- I don't think I can do this right now," I said and walked out of the room

Xena

I watched as Jc just walked out of the room. I wasn't sure what I was going to decide to do yet. I felt so alone. All night I've just been crying and I was getting a headache. I took out my phone and called my sister. After a few rings she picked up.

"Rosa," I said sniffling.

"Xe, it's 4 in the morning this better be urgent." she said sounding tired. Rosa was my older sister, she was lucky enough to move out before she finished high school because she couldn't stand my parents. I had to deal with them for a bit longer with my brother.

"I know I'm sorry I have to tell you something," I said.

"what is it? is everything okay?" she said sounding concerned.

"I-i'm pregnant," I said.

I could hear Rosa gasping on the other end of the line.

"really? what are you going to do? do you know who the dad is? it's not Colby is it?" she asked.

"no, it's not Colby, I don't know what I'm gonna do." I said.

"who's the dad?" she asked.

"it's jc," I said.

"Well congratulations! Are you telling our parents?" She asked again.

"I don't know if I should, I'm so scared I don't know what they're going to think." I said wiping away my tears.

"It's been a while Xe, I really don't think it'll be that bad. You're grown enough and I think they'll acknowledge that and at least offer you some kind of support." She said.

"I'm here for you, you know I'm just a call or text away." She said reassuring me.

"I'll call them tomorrow." I said.

I told her Goodnight and let her go back to bed soon and hung up.

I went back to our room and I saw her in our bed already asleep. I went to go get changed and got in on the other side. I got closer to her and I put my arm around her. I was so scared but I knew I had to be the man that she needs me to be right now and for our future child, that is whether if she decides she wants it or not. I want to be there. I want kids but I wasn't expecting to have one so soon, I also wasn't expecting it to go down like this. My mind was just all over the place but I managed to fall asleep.

I felt shifting in the bed and my eyes fluttered open. I look back to my side and I find Xena awake and it's now day.

"You left last night," she said quietly.

I scratched my eyes to adjust them to the lighting.

"I'm sorry," I said. "I needed to think."

I cupped her face and moved it so she could look up at me.

"I'm here now though, and I'll be here for whatever happens." I said looking into her soft brown eyes.

"What do you think we should do?" She asked me.

I paused for a minute before answering seriously.

"I think we should keep it," I finally answered. "I want to have the baby with you."

She looked up at me.

"Are you sure? You don't think we're not ready?" She asked worried.

"I'll do my best to take care of you and our baby," I said reassuring her.

I held her tightly and I put my hand over her stomach.

"You can't feel it yet but that's our kid that's in there and I can't wait to meet them," I said nervously and kissing her.

"I'm excited too," she smiled.
