Jc

We got back from the store, I entered the house and when I walked in the lights switched on.

"Surprise!" A whole crowd of my friends and other influencers I recognized yell and I was taken aback with a huge smile on my face.

"wow thanks you guys I didn't even know this was going to happen," I said chuckling awkwardly.

"Well no shit Jc it's a surprise party," Wyl said in his usual sarcastic manner.

"Did you guys plan this?" I asked the boys.

"Yeah we did and we also got you another surprise for laterrrr," Kevin said smirking at me.

"Wow well thanks you guys it means a lot to me." I thanked them.

People kept flooding into the house, the party was bigger than I was expecting it to be, there was a dj, and big bouncy house, people jumping into the pool fully clothed, people already drunk. The girls and I were standing around the table and Maria was pouring us up our first shots of the night.

"Tito's or tequila?" She asked the group.

"Tequila," we all agreed in unison.

"We are never doing Tito's again, that was a night for the books." I said referring back to when it was Alyssa's birthday and we got totally wasted and kicked out of a club for dancing on platforms.

"Yeah seriously, we got alcohol poisoning the next day." Amalia said shivering at the memory of it.

Stacy passed us our individual lime and salt.

"Cheers!" Alyssa said and we clinked our drinks taking the shot, I feel the stinging burn go down my throat and made a face starting to suck on the lime to see if it makes it any better.

"Hey Xena, I didn't think I would see you here!" A familiar voice said behind me resting their arm over my shoulder. I turned around and I saw Colby.

"Oh hey Colby," I said greeting him.

I looked around the room to see if Jc was around, I couldn't see him anywhere.

"What are you doing here?" Colby asked curiously.

"Oh well nothing, I finally signed here in LA so I'm constantly traveling back and fourth now and made some friends so. I'm here to celebrate Jc's birthday." I said smiling nervously.

"Oh okay, I didn't know you were friends with the boys but it's nice seeing you here." He said pouring himself a drink.

I grabbed a cup of my own and decided to make me something too. This was going to be awkward.

"So about that night Xe, I want you to know that I was serious about me changing." He said in a serious tone and looking at me. I looked back into his light blue eyes, acknowledging his chiseled structure, thick brows and messy hair.

"Well, i bet it's been a few years." I commented taking a drink. I look around and the kitchen was almost empty and people leaving to continue on with their business leaving Colby and I together alone.
