They were playing a show in our hometown, even after years of hit songs and screaming girls, they still played at the cavern, where they had their very first show. I sat at the bar, listening to them play their iconic please please me album, the song that did it all.

I sip on my drink, listening to the music and smiling to myself. I turn around and face the stage, watching them perform. My eyes met Johns and he winked, making me roll my eyes at him.

They finish the show and all walk backstage, John motioning for me to join them just before he went. I finish my drink and walk away from the bar and towards the backstage area. The door opens and I walk down a short hallway, making a sharp left turn and finally seeing the boys after their show.

"Well?" John asks

"Not great." I say sarcastically

"Oh please, you're worse than John you know." George says

I shrug, they all know how much I love their shows, they never get old. 

"Shut it Harrison." John snaps "what did you really think?" He asks again

"It never gets old, even from the first gig when I met paul, I've enjoyed it since day one. Honest."

"Thank you y/n." Paul says

"Sure thing Paulie." I nod "Ringo, you've been quiet, everything alright?"

"Yea." He nods, hardly paying any attention

"Sure? Is it that girl?"

"What girl?" John asks

"Not for yoy Lennon." I snap "What's her name, Maureen?"

"Yea." Ringo nods "She was here earlier, I'm not sure where she went off to."

"Why don't you go find her then." I suggest

"Yea alright, I'll see you lads later then."

They all say goodbye to Ringo, waving him out and wishing him good luck.

"Wow so you can be nice." George jokes

"Every once in a while."

"Apparently."

"Y/n, you know your friend Dorothea?" Paul asks

"Sure, she goes by Dot."

"Yea, Dot...well I saw her today and I thought she'd recognize me from schooling, but she didn't."

"Oh, tough luck." I shrug

"Yea, think you could introduce me again?"

"Paul seriously? Why don't you do it yourself."

"She may think I'm creepy."

"She won't, you're a famous beatle, there's no way she'd think that. And besides, I always have to help you guys with this stuff. You should figure it out on your own."

"Alright fine fine. Where could I find her?"

"Not sure, she's at the library a lot."

He nods, finishing freshening up in the mirror and finally leaving.

"You don't have to help me." George says "I'm perfectly capable."

"Yup, we'll see how long it lasts." I nod

"Longer than anything you've had."

"Shut up."

I watch as george grabs his guitar and leaves, walking outside and driving away.

"Way to drive them all away." John says

"That was my evil plan."

"Was it?"

I nod. He holds out his hand, pulling me close once I grab it. He pulls me closer, bringing his lips to mine. I try not to smile through the kiss.

"You know George is just fussy sometimes." He says

"I know, but I can be fussy too."

"I can tell, you're worse than I am."

"Nah, you're wittier than me."

"No fucking way."

"Yea you are." I nod

"No way. But I can say that I am taller, which automatically gives me the advantage."

"What kind of advantage?"

"Not sure yet." He shrugs "you look exhausted."

"I am."

"Wanna go home?"

"Yes please." I nod

We walk out of the building and down the street, making our way home.

"What's got you so exhausted?" He asks

"I worked super late last night, that's all." I kid

The truth was, I hadn't been sleeping much lately. I'd been so stressed about who knows what and I haven't had John there to help me out.

"You haven't worked in two weeks." He says "what's really going on?"

"Nothing really? Just haven't been sleeping that's all."

"Due to?"

"Not sure, for lack of better term, maybe stress?"

"Well you'll have me tonight? And we'll figure something out for when I'm gone. Sound good?"

I nod. "Yea, thanks John."

He nods, letting me into his place. We both immediately change and get in bed. I almost instantly fall asleep with John holding me and the puttering of the rain outside.

"I love you." He says

"Love you too." I groggily say
