Hey guys! This story is inspired by something I'm currently going through so please be kind and please don't judge! I'm also very terrified of posting this cuz I hate talking about my problems. Also this will probably be cringey so don't mind that. Thanks. 😗✌️✨

I sat in my small room, flipping through magazines, seeing mansion after mansion wishing I had something similar. I had wanted to move for the past year because I just hated everyone in my town. I thought of how much happier I could be with more space and a new beginning.

My mom knocks on the door.

"Hey it's time to start getting ready for bed."

"Ok mom."

She stood in the doorway studying my face.

"Is something the matter?"

"I want to move. I want to get out of here so badly. I hate everyone here, they all bully me and I have no friends. I just think I'd be happier somewhere else."

"I think that's great honey and I'm all for it but you're gonna have to talk to your father."

I sit in my room debating on whether or not I should talk to him. He always turned my ideas down and made me feel bad about myself.

I walk down the steps. My dad is sitting near the fire place, a book in hand.

"What's up?" He says

"We should move. And not just because this house is small. It's just that everyone here is so mean to me and their all the same. They all act like their better than me and they bully me and even the teachers at school hate me." I went on this huge rant about how my life sucked.

"Look kid we can't just move. It doesn't work like that. Besides your not even understanding the real problem here is yourself. You can't just run away from yourself."

I ran upstairs and slammed my door shut. Yes my own dad constantly talked shit about me to my face.

I pack a bag with clothes, snacks, my journal and a few other things. I throw on jeans, a jacket and converse and open my window. I jump out, landing on a soft spot in my yard.

I walk down the street and out of my neighborhood never looking back. I walk to a party, hoping to get my mind off of everything that's going on. I sit around for a while, slowly drinking a beer and keeping to myself. I felt so out of place and shitty.

I walk out of the building, sitting on the concrete and leaning against the stone walls. I start to cry. Minutes later a man comes up.

"Hello miss, are you alright? I hate to see such a pretty girl having such a bad night."

"Yessir I'm fine thanks." I sniffle

"I'm Pete by the way." He sat down next to me

"Y/n."

"What a pretty name. Well y/n, why don't we go for a walk?"

I hesitate, not knowing what to say.

"Oh uh are you sure?" I ask

"Of course darling."

He stands up, holding out his hand for me to take. I take his hand, standing up I dust off my jeans.

"Why were you crying? If you don't mind me asking."

"Oh it's nothing really."

"I don't buy it but that's fine. I'm not going to make you talk."

We walk around the building a few times. He invites me to his place, and gladly I accept the offer.

We walk to his place, talking about everything from music to school to dreams. He really is brilliant.

We make it back to his house. I see a few guys on the couch.

"Boys I've invited y/n over because she hasn't had a great night, I expect you all to be kind to her. And keith, no pranks, no games, no messing about and no funny business. Roger don't flirt with her and please do not wink at her. John, introduce her to everyone while I make drinks."

John walks up to me, shaking my hand and giving me a welcoming smile.

"Hi I'm John. This is keith and Roger and the one you already met is Pete. Keith is quite troublesome so you might wanna keep your distance or he'll prank you. Roger will unknowingly flirt with you so don't take it to seriously. Pete is brilliant and quite the nice lad. I'm John, I play bass guitar."

"Hi, I'm y/n." I say

Pete comes back with drinks and we all chat for the rest of the night. Roger Keith and John leave, so I'm left alone with Pete.

"Thanks for everything tonight Pete, I really needed it."

"No problem love, anytime really. So you need a place to stay."

"I hate to trouble you like that."

"No really I've got an extra room and plenty of clothing and toiletries you could use. It's really no trouble at all."

"Are you sure? I'd hate to intrude or anything and I'm not sure your girlfriend would be too happy about this."

"Oh haha I'm very much single. You're welcome here anytime y/n."

I cave in and decide to stay with Pete. I throw on the pajamas I packed and brush my teeth. I walk into the extra room and settle myself in.

Hours pass and I'm still wide awake. I keep thinking about Pete. Everything about him is just amazing from his crystal blue eyes and adorable smile.

Minutes pass and I decide to walk to Pete's room. I open the door.

"Pete." I whisper

"Yes darling?"

"I'm sorry but I can't sleep."

"Oh, come here." He motions for me to lay with him.

I walk over and snuggle underneath the covers. He pulls me in by the waist and cuddles me. He kisses my forehead and warms me up. I fall asleep like that, forgetting all of my worries.
