36| epilogue

Three years later

Three years ago, this day my hands were stained with the blood of my enemies. Three years ago my life changed for the better. Three years ago, I took an oath to always put my family first.

My body leaned into Damiens who was cuddling me. "I'm loving the view," he said, leaning down, whispering. My cheeks warmed as I rolled my eyes. Everyday my love for him grows and blossoms and I couldn't be more greatful for him. "I love you," I said, turning back to face him.

His hands, like so many times before, reached up to hold my face. "I love you too hermosa." His lips slowly brushed mine as I held onto him. "Stop being a tease," I whined. "I can't help it darlin' you do it everyday to me, its time for me to return the favour," he replied, smirking.

His hands snaked up my waist and brushed against my exposed skin. I shivered. "Kiss me Damien. Please" I begged. "Patience is a virtue," his teeth grazed over my bottom lip, tugging. "Fuck patience," I said before I claimed his lips as mine.

He laughed through the kiss, he laughed as we moved in unison and pulled apart minutes later. "That was... something," he said, I nodded I agreement and laid my head against his chest.

My eyes looked at the pictures on the wall. The first and most recent one was that of my nephews. After Genieve and Carter finally tied the knot, they had two beautiful children. I was really happy for them.

Aiden and Ace had moved together after both of them confessed their feelings for one another. Lucas and Theodora were in culinary school, both of them planned to tour the world together. Liam and André were now engaged and lived in a bunglow downtown.

As for Layla and Oliver, they didn't last long. After going their separate ways, they lost all contact with eachother. Layla was doing her last semester in college as a communications major.

Leo went to college in the UK, which made Luca sad at first, but they're trying a long distance relationship. Carina however, has yet to confess her feelings for Rowan whom she's in college with.

As for me, I'm also doing my business major from Harvard, while Damien is doing a PhD in mechanical engineering. I don't know what life has in store for me, but I cannot wait for it.
