CHAPTER 6

"Sawamura, Sugawara, Azumane!" I spotted the three senpais below who Yui senpai had called. "You've made it to the third round!" Senpai complimented them on their achievement. "Michimiya! I thought I heard cheers from the girls." Sawamura senpai said. "Didn't you notice?" asked angel senpai to the captain. "Aya senpai!" at the same moment, two voices yelled. It was buzz cut and libero senpai. They're so cute. "You got your revenge." I switched my gaze to Yui senpai. 'Revenge?' Did something happen between those two teams? I looked at Date Tech's team and then at Karasuno's team, but my gaze was drawn to a particular French fry. After what seemed like 5 minutes of looking at each other, I decided to end it by nodding at him, which he did as well.

"Oh! it's you." When I looked below us, I noticed angel senpai pointing at me. "Hello, senpai. Congratulations on your win." I greeted them with a bow. "So, you've met our manager." Yui senpai remarked and slung her arm around my shoulder, causing me to stoop because I'm taller than her. "I had no idea you had a manager." said Sawamura senpai. "Well, it was a last-minute decision. Right?" Yui senpai remarked, and I responded yes. "Oh, right! Everyone line up." Sawamura senpai gathered his team and thanked all of us who had been watching and cheering them on.

As I looked at each player, I remembered what Yui senpai had said to me. I know what she meant, even if she hasn't said it directly. Those hazel eyes, too. "You know there's always a way if you want something." I silently congratulated him with a small smile, but it immediately changed into an irritated grin as he flashed me an arrogant smirk. 'I told you so.' My lips formed a tiny grin as I rolled my eyes.

I turned around and followed my senpais to the exit. They were talking about sunbeam who did a quick attack, and I was astonished as well. With such height and that speed too, he jumped incredibly high. Not to mention the setter. "The setter was amazing as well." I suddenly muttered to which surprised me and my senpais. "Yeah! He was." When one of my senpai agreed, they went on with their conversation, saving me from embarrassment.

Suddenly, squeals and cheers erupted causing us to halt and turn towards it. "Oikawa-san?" I asked to no one in particular "You've never heard of him?" One of the senpai asked. "No. Do I have to?" I looked to the other side of the gym to find that guy. "It's the brown-haired guy who was about to serve," Aya senpai pointed. "He's attractive." I mused. "I know right. He's also popular." One of the senpais nodded in agreement. "He's a setter too," says Yui senpai. "An amazing one at that." She added. We continued on our way to the exit, but I gave the setter one final look. Pretty.

The next day, I sluggishly made my way to my sit. "You look terrible." Sana winced. "Thanks. I'm also in a terrible mood." I sat down and, on the table, I rested my head facing my friend. "Didn't get enough sleep?" she asked, concerned. I nodded, making my sorrowful expression even more pitiful. "Well, there's still time. Why don't you get some more rest? When the teacher arrives, I'll just wake you up." She gave a warm grin. "Thanks, Sana. You're the better." I thanked her. "I'm pretty sure it's 'best' not 'better'." She pointed out. "No, I'm right. It's 'better' because I'm the best," I boasted, which made her chuckle.

I eventually closed my eyes to make up for the lack of sleep I had missed the night before because I was thinking about something like the last time. It's déjà vu all over again, but this time with a different team. "Our squad may be finished, but you certainly shouldn't be." Nope, not again. "You know there's always a way if you want something." It's happening again. Titan let me sleep. A voice said, "Hey, Y/n." "No, please let me sleep." I groaned. "But sensei is here." Sana said and it nearly made me cry since I was so sleepy and frustrated. "Stand up." To greet our teacher, I stood up lazily with my classmates. 'It'll be another episode of Y/n's struggle to defeat sleep in class.' I let out a sigh.
