"Yeah, let's get going. It attacked me out in the preserve, so let's try there. Boyd, Isaac! Help me to the car." Scott tells his two betas. He was trying to sit up more.

Laura walks over to Derek and Stiles while shifting back to normal. "It will all work out, Stiles. Derek and I will be as close to you as we can to protect you. We won't let anything happen to you." She tells Stiles, and she is telling the truth. They won't let anything happen to him.

Derek loosens the embrace he has on Stiles slightly so that he can turn him around. "I don't like this plan, but I will be there by your side the whole time." He tells him before kissing his temple. "Do you feel well enough to drive? If you don't, that's okay." He asks him.

"...Yeah. I'm... I'm ok... stay careful. You and.. your Sister, too..." Despite saying so, he looked downwards, clearly scared. Not on his behalf, though. For Derek's and Laura's safety, instead. "Let's... go. And, catch... this new monster.. of.. of the week. Before anyone else. Gets injured.."

Derek placed his hands on either side of Stiles's face, moving it, so they were looking at each other. "Hey, we will be okay. And so will you." He whispers to him. He was leaning their foreheads together and just enjoying the small moment they had. He pulled away reluctantly, wrapping his arm around his mate. They followed Laura and the others outside now, everyone getting into the cars. With Scott and his pack in one car and Stiles and his wolves in his Jeep.

"Hope you're right." He managed, returning Derek's glance a few moments before he turned, followed them outside. Thankful Derek had him, more or less, in his arm. The drive into the woods, though, was silent. Tense. Stiles didn't felt like talking, to be honest, his thoughts, mind elsewhere. How could Scott hate him so much when he just wanted to live? Not be killed? He just followed Boyd's car until it stopped, almost about half an hour later in the middle of nowhere. So it had happened around here, he guessed.

It was strange for the siblings to be back here. They hadn't been back in 8 years; it felt familiar to be here, but also not.

Both Derek and Laura stayed close to Stiles, not wanting any harm to come to him. Even when Scott gave the queue to take their positions, they stayed close by.

It took about 30 minutes of waiting before the wolves heard the sound of the Manticore approaching. All the wolves started to shift into their Beta forms, getting ready for the fight.

Stiles had just been sitting there, waiting. He clutched his bat in his fingers, so tense that his fingers were almost white from the pressure, the blood almost not able to get in them. Every minute seemed like an hour to him, if not more. Was it even here in the woods? Or in the city now? Finally, after what felt like an eternity, its noises could be heard. The wolves picked it up first, of course, though he noticed through their shifting. It was time.

When the creature finally came into view, it caught sight of Stiles. It came sprinting at the human, but right before it could get close enough. All the wolves jumped out of hiding, distracting it from Stiles.

They all kept the creature busy while Stiles made the mountain ash barrier around them. Derek, Laura, and Scott were attacking its head while the other three tried to go for the belly.

As soon as the great circle of mountain ash was finished, Stiles went into hiding... More or less, he had chosen a spot from where he could see the wolves struggle to get this thing defeated. Rid of it. It was on the verge of attacking Scott badly again; the boy couldn't just stand by anymore, had the urge to do something. Anything. He ran up to them, gripping his bat so he could use it the second he was there- and he did so. The results, however, were.. different than what Stiles had hoped. The damn thing broke; the Manticore wasn't even fazed by it. Tumbling backward- Isaac had just shoved him out of his way- Stiles fell, managing-of course, it had to happen now- to injure his ankle while he was at it. Still was too close.

Derek saw Stiles fall back after trying to hit the enemy; he smelt the pain from his mate when he landed. That enraged him, his mate getting hurt. So much so that he took a few steps back from the creature to fully transform. He was becoming a substantial solid black wolf with glowing blue eyes. Once he transformed, he jumped at the Manticore with all his strength.

She was seeing Derek transform had Laura taking a step back to transform with her brother. It was getting to the point where they would probably need the extra strength anyway. This creature was strong. Once she changed, she was a dark brown wolf the same size as Derek, but she had red eyes.

At some point, Scott had to drawback. He still was severely injured from the last encounter, and he had gotten a few more cuts on him now. Once he stepped back, he was in shock. He was stuck watching The Hale's transform into full wolves. He didn't know that was possible.

Stiles hadn't been aware of that either. Eyes wide, he simply gazed at the two massive, giant wolves now standing there instead of where Derek and Laura's human bodies had just been; the boy was as equally stunned as Scott, his mouth slightly open as he stared, did almost forget where he was, that he was almost about to be a monsters dinner if it wouldn't be for the siblings, of course. And then... Scott hightailed it out of there, ditching them. Just left like this, no looking back, clearing a path even for that creature, given he had been between him and that monster. Paling, Stiles tried to get up, back onto his feet; it hurt too much, though. He couldn't. Isaac was, apparently, too stunned by Laura and Derek's doing too, unaware that that was possible as well. Had not known until now.

The creature became distracted when Scott fled, which opened up a spot for Laura to jump it. She jumped at its neck, sinking her teeth into its neck. She bit down with all her might before she felt a snap, and the creature went limp in her hold. At this point, she let go of it before turning to everyone else.

As soon as the creature dropped dead, Derek ran to Stiles. He shifted as soon as he got to his mate so that he could inspect for injuries. "Are you okay, Stiles?!?" He asks out of breath. He was looking the younger all over.

"...Y..yeah. I'm..I'm, ok. Just. My ankle-" He began, trying to get up again, but to no avail. Pulling a face, he plopped back to the ground, still couldn't believe what had happened, what he had seen—Scott ditching, abandoning them just like that, without any remorse. And Derek and Laura could... "...Never read anywhere you could do this by..um, choice. Guessed it was a full moon thing first, but....none of them..." His gaze, hurtful, flickered over to the other three- "Never said that on the full moon... so... never mind. That's... really impressive. That you and Laura can do that..." He ended, reluctantly, for a moment glancing over to that now dead creature that now laid there, still, unmoving.
