"Come on, let's get you back home," Derek says while lifting the younger into his arms. He walks back to the jeep, sitting Stiles down in the passenger seat. Cause there was no way he could drive with his ankle messed up, and Derek wasn't going to let him try.
While Derek was busy taking care of his mate, Laura was shifting back to normal. Once she had shifted, she walked over to the three betas. "I know you may not listen to me, but now that that's over with, you three need to dispose of the body. That's your responsibility once you kill a creature. Plus, we said we would leave as soon as we helped kill the creature. Have a nice day." She says to the three teens before walking to her pack, checking on them.
For once, Stiles didn't mind. With Derek..it felt somewhat right. Plus, he couldn't walk around now anyway, let alone drive. Why complain then? However, Stiles stayed silent, not his usual talkative self.
The betas, however, were another story. Sure, Isaac and Erica went for it. Ran, just like Scott had. Only Boyd stayed, a bit hesitant before speaking up. "...He would always do that..."
Laura stopped and turned around, hearing what one of the Beta said. She didn't know his name; they were never introduced. But hearing what he said about Scott didn't surprise her. "What's your name? I heard your Alpha say two names earlier, but I didn't know which name belonged to who." She asks him, giving him her full attention now.
"Boyd. And... it was usually him. Getting rid of the dead bodies of..whatever." He stated, looking in the direction where the other two had just run to, then glanced back at Laura. Uncertain, somewhat.
Laura watched him for a moment before speaking. "You look uncertain; you can tell me if you want to." She tells him with a comforting smile. She could tell that Boyd wanted to say something but was having a hard time deciding if he could.
"..Yeah." He replied, apparently still struggling with his loyalty(or what was left of it) towards Scott, hesitating a few more moments before continuing. "He... Scott bit me. Said it would..help me. He told Erica..and Isaac the same. And... since then it's... you saw yourself. I don't know... I imagined it to be... different, I guess." He admitted shrugging... He looked to the ground now. He was seemingly torn, clueless at what to do.
Laura looked at Boyd with a sad look. Before walking closer to place a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, it will be okay. You don't have to stay and put up with this, you know. You could come to join us, be part of our pack. That is if Stiles is okay with it. After all, that happened." She tells him. "Why don't we go talk to Stiles first. See what he says." She tells him before slowly walking over to Stiles.
"...Is it that easy?" He asked hesitantly, then shook his head a bit. "Doubt it. There...was more to what happened than just what they said. Worse..." He admitted, hesitant, glancing after her before following then. He owed him an apology, at least. Never had said thank you for Stiles's attempt to help him and Erica back then.
"You can leave the pack you are with right now, but you need to have another Alpha that is willing to accept you into their pack. If you don't, then you will become an Omega. And Omega wolves usually become feral without a pack." She explains to him. As they get closer, they can feel the discomfort coming off of Stiles. Whether it be from his ankle or Boyd, they didn't know.
Boyd had just nodded silently, following Laura until they were almost there. Only then he stopped, waiting. He could smell it, too—Stiles wasn't too comfortable, probably for both reasons.
Laura walks up to Derek and Stiles slowly, not wanting to scare the human. "Hey, Stiles. Would you be comfortable talking with Boyd for a moment? He has something he wants to tell you." She tells him. She was hoping that he will be willing to listen and forgive Boyd.
"...Yeah. Can't...can't get worse anyway, so...don't mind. I guess..." He murmured, still shaken over what bad just happened. Such close friendship, basically since kindergarten, preschool, broken to pieces. Shattered. He felt... lost, empty somewhat, though he tried to well it down for Derek's sake. Had worried him and Laura probably enough already as it is... these thoughts he couldn't get rid of. He couldn't forget them. Was he that much of an annoyance? Getting on everybodys' nerves?
Derek could tell that Stiles was feeling down after what happened; he placed his hand on his mate's neck, rubbing the skin there. Trying to offer some comfort to his mate, he couldn't stand seeing his mate unhappy.
Which helped Stiles taking a bit of his tension away. "...Thanks," He mumbled before nodding to Boyd, who approached them relatively slow, hesitant. Once he was close enough, he nodded to Derek, then tentative, took a step back, glancing back to Laura now. Unsure, but he needed to tell her something.
Laura saw the look that Bord gave her, so she pulled him aside so Stiles wouldn't hear them. "Is there something else you need to tell me, Boyd? Because you can." She tells him.
"There is. Something the veterinarian...Deaton. He figured it out. Something... about Stiles... he's... human, but...." Boyd hesitated, had followed her. Away from Stiles. "He's.. he called it a..spark, I think. We were the only ones there, so Stiles..didn't hear him say it. And Scott forbid us from telling him..for some reason. I don't know why he didn't want him to know."
Hearing what Boyd said made Laura mad. How could you hide something like that from someone, especially when it's about them?
She takes a few deep breathes before speaking. "Thank you for telling me, Boyd. And don't worry, I'm not mad at you. I am furious at Scott, though." She tells him.
"Is that all you wanted to tell me? Cause if not, let's go talk to Stiles about you joining our pack." She asks the teenager.
"...Umh. Yes. I... guess. There... that was the most important thing, I guess. But... yeah. Could... you do that, though? He trusts you, not me. So..." Uncertain, Boyd stayed where he was, now without a pack. Sure, Laura has offered him, which was kind, yet...Stiles needed to be ok with it, too.
"Don't worry, Derek and I will tell him. But not now; he needs time to heal and get over what happened today. Now come one, it's time for you two to talk." She tells him before walking them back to Stiles and Derek.
"Hey, Stiles. Boyd here needs to talk with you if that's okay." She tells him, not wanting to make him any more uncomfortable.
"He's here to apologize for everything that happened. He has realized how bad of an Alpha Scott is. And he would like your permission to join our pack; he doesn't want to follow Scott anymore." She explains for Boyd.
"...Oh. ...um. If... you agree with it, Laura ..then... yeah. I guess he could... join, I mean." He answered, though a bit hesitant, unsure. He had no idea what else Boyd had told her.
"I'm fine with him joining, but I wanted to be sure that you were okay with it. If you didn't want him to join, then I would have told him no." She tells Stiles with a soft smile. It was nice seeing him and her brother so close now; it wasn't like this initially, that's for sure.
