"Stiles is still human; you don't have to worry. All that happened was he tripped and probably sprained his ankle, but other than that, he's fine." Laura tells him. She was letting him take everything in.
"And he was running around with a group... clique... organization of... of humanlike wolves. Werewolves." The sheriff answered lamely, still trying to take it all in. "Well... at least I owe you for... not letting him end up on the street. For caring." He mumbled, rubbing his forehead. "And... he's with... you three now? Not with Scott anymore? To be clear?" He added, making Stiles nod. "Yeah. That... that sums it up, Dad. And... it's called a pack. Not clique. Just... uh, for the record."
After they had explained all they could to the Sheriff, Boyd had gone home, and the Sheriff had shown Laura the way to the hotel you talked about. It took some convincing from Stiles, but the Sheriff had relented and let Derek stay with them while Laura stays in the hotel.
Which he was grateful for. He couldn't stand being alone without at least one of them. Accompanied by some skittles, popcorn, chips, and two bottles of lemonade -and Derek-Stiles had managed to get upstairs, somehow talked his father to let Derek share a room with him. Totally because he wanted the Sherriff to be safe... and because he was used to sharing a room with Derek as well. Liked it, his company and also... he had seen Derek's room. Now it was time for Derek to see his... or something like that. Turning lightly towards the older, who had supported him to get upstairs, he pressed his hand a bit, encouraging. "Go on... you first. We're right in front of it."
Derek looked at Stiles for a moment, wondering why he was so excited for him to see his room. "Okay, if you insist." He says before grabbing the handle and turning it. He gently pushes the door open, letting them walk into the room. What he sees is entirely different from his room. His mate's room was filled with souvenirs and trinkets, as well as a desk that was covered in papers and books. The last thing he saw was the pinboard on the wall; it was pretty impressive how detailed it was.
"... It's different than yours. Not as fancy, but... uh." A bit sheepish, embarrassed, he followed after him, unsure, pointing to the bed. "That's, uh... you see it. And, the books on the desk are just some for school. I dug most of them off the internet. I needed them for... you know, research and that. And... uh, the pinboard..." He stopped, swallowing. He remembered how proud he'd been coming up with the idea, as he had shown it to Scott once. That seemed an eternity ago, now. "...It's nothing much. Just helped me thinking. Figure things out. I uh... probably can take it off, now. But... uh, here-" Trying to distract himself from memories, Stiles picked up his laptop, had made it over to the said table. "Wanna see a movie...?"
"It's nice. It feels like you; it fits your personality." Derek tells him, giving him a gentle squeeze. He helps lead his mate to his bed, not wanting him to be on his feet for too long. "What movie do you want to watch?" He asks.
"...Thanks. Glad you... um. like it. Means a lot." Giving him a small smile, he gladly sat down now. "So.... for the movie, nothing fancy. A comedy, maybe?" He suggested, snuggling to the older. Relieved, glad he could be there with him. "...Thanks, too. For... the help."
"Anything for my mate," Derek whispers to Stiles. He leans his head down to kiss and nuzzles against his mate's head. He was enjoying being able to sit and relax with his mate.
"Ok. Freaky Friday? You know that?" He mumbled, returning the affectionate gesture with a soft, innocent kiss on Derek's cheek, then on his lips, "...Glad I met you. In the club... that day." He mumbled, nuzzling his head against the elder's shoulder.
Derek smiled at his mate, leaning forward kissing him back slightly. "You have made me the happiest I have ever been. I hope you know that." He tells Stiles, hoping he didn't tell him too much.
"..You, too. After, but... it's good I'm able to do that. Make you happy. You... deserve it after what happened. I... I was awful to you first and... I'm... sorry for that. I want to make it up to you... and Laura, too. Let me... begin with something. Close... your eyes a second." He asked, waiting until Derek had complied before grabbing a chip out of its package silently, putting it just enough in his lips so it wouldn't fall before he approached Derek carefully, nudging the elder's lips with the crispy, thin treat. Hoping he would pick up what he wanted.
Derek looked at Stiles, a little confused, before closing his eyes. He didn't know what his mate had in store for him, but he would play along until he found out. He could hear the rustling of the bags before he felt something hard and greasy touch his lips. At this point, he knew what Stiles was trying to do, so he opened his mouth to take the chip. While doing this, he brought his mate closer to him, pressing their lips together for a moment before pulling away.
Once he pulled away, he opened his eyes to look at Stiles with a smile. He leaned towards him, placing his lips at the other's ear. "I want you to know that I have fallen so in love with you, Stiles. I hope you may feel the same at some point too." Derek whispers to him, placing a kiss on his cheek before pulling back.
He nodded silently, a small, gentle smile on his face. "...Yeah. Imagine you do. But... truth be told, it may already be happening..." He told him, glad somehow Derek had been ok with it. Also, he had left him most of the chip anyway, just kept a small piece to himself.
In fact, the gentle touch on his ear made his heart maybe even skip a beat before he leaned against the were more, felt like cuddling while they would watch the comedy. From which he didn't know yet if Derek was familiar with it or not.
Derek wrapped his arms around Stiles, pulling the human closer to him while they watched the comedy. "I haven't seen this, by the way; you asked me earlier." He tells the other. They both lay there watching the movie and eating snacks, trying to enjoy their time. Cause with how Beacon Hills is, who knows when the next big bad will decides to show its self.
"Oh, ok. It's fun, you know. Mother and daughter. Having... a special problem." He said, before snuggling against the older, just enjoying their closeness. Not naughty this time too. Somehow it was natural, just being there, doing something so... normal with him. It was more than just nice. Almost perfect.
