Monday morning came faster than a blink. Taylor was wearing a tailored purple dress that screamed "i like to kick poor people" even though she wasn't rich herself. Her friend Ashley was a fashion design student who liked to please taylor with pretty creations, leaving the girl with a more than exclusive wardrobe.

Her face showed confidence, even though the blond was scared as shit for the upcoming day. She entered the building after grabbing two coffees - a iced caramel latte for her and a iced coffee with almond milk for her new boss.

"Hi, sorry, i'm kinda lost here. Do you know where karlie kloss' office is?" She said to a brunette right before entering the elevator.

"Oh, you're with karlie?" She sighed "good luck, i heard she's tough. 13th floor, big room, it's not hard to find, there's a name printed in gold at her door" she smiled politely "hi, I'm Selena". Selena Gomez was one of the most underestimated minds on that law firm. She had the greatest ideas and somehow people still only saw her as the little associate that Gigi hired for pity.

"Taylor, nice to meet you. You seem nice, maybe we could have some coffee after work? I just don't know many people here and- " she got cut off by the girl, who stepped out of the elevator at the 8th floor "yeah, sure. I don't have that many friends either" she laughed a little "i'll wait for you in the lobby!"

The elevator quickly closed, making a little noise as soon as it reached karlie's floor. Anxiety and fear filled taylor's brain as she walked in confident steps towards the hallway. As selena said, the office wasn't hard to find. The room was empty, indicating that karlie wasn't there yet. But Taylor's little cubicle in front of the big door made of glass was screaming for a little decoration.

She placed the two coffees in the table and grabbed some stuff from her purse. Colored pens, markers and some notebooks. She also placed some polaroids of her and her family on the side, smiling at it for a while.  "Having fun, swift?" A voice caught her attention.

"You wouldn't even imagine, kloss" she turned her chair in the girl's direction, making a villain pose "hope you like iced coffee with almond milk"

"Hey, that's like my favorite, stop reading my mind weirdo. How could you even know that?" The blond said as taylor handed her the little cup.

"A lady never reveal her secrets!" It wasn't really that deep, though. Basically, when Gigi called her to confirm some stuff she casually asked for some information that could help her with karlie. "Now, you have a meeting in 20 minutes with a guy named Andy Samberg, already sent the information to your email"

"Must say, I am impressed" karlie blinked and leaned on the bench, observing as taylor typed some random stuff on her computer. "Stop watching me, Kloss"

"Wanna have lunch together?"

"Nop. Not now, not ever"

"Fine. You'll surrender, Swift. Just give me time" she said and smiled,  turning  to her office's direction. "Highly doubt it, but i admire the effort" taylor said, still focused on the computer.

Time flew by and, before taylor could even realize, the whole floor was empty, leaving only taylor and Karlie. "Kloss, I'm going home. Do you need anything?"

"Nah, i'm fine. Thanks, you were great today. See you tomorrow, swift"

As she agreed earlier, a brunette with angel eyes and a clearly expensive outfit was waiting for the blond on the lobby. Her happiness was contagious, it made taylor feel safe by only saying hi. "Ready to go?"

"Totally"

They walked in the coffee shop direction and sat on a table near the window. There was a little stage on the corner of the cafeteria that taylor knew very well. "You know, I actually sing here in my free time"

"Wait, you sing??"

"Yeah, that's like the main reason why i came to New York. I wanna be recognized, but while that doesn't happen i need a job so I don't starve. And I've been in the music market for some time now, nothing happened yet... maybe it's just not my destiny, you know?"

"Come on, there's no such thing as destiny. Maybe it's easier for some people, but that doesn't mean your time won't come. Also, you're young, you still have your whole life to get where you wanna go." She smiled, comforting the tall woman " so, how was your first day at work?"

"Pretty good, actually. Karlie is really nice and sweet with me, I thought she was gonna be rude and all that stuff"

"She is, though. Last time i tried talking to her she just rolled her eyes and made some inaudible noises. She probably likes you, which is a good start. Her last secretary only lasted 2 weeks..."

"Really? Guess I'm really good then" taylor smiled "she even said i was great today". Selena's chin dropped while she spilled some of her coffe. "But what about you? How was your day?"

"A day of a associate lawyer is really not that interesting. Specially when a person sitting right in front of you gets a 'you were great' from karlie fucking kloss."

"Come on, you must have the greatest experiences. You work with that Tom Hiddleston guy, right?"

"Exactly. He's great, but really just another old rich guy who plays golf. There are like hundreds of him on that building"

"He's cute, saw him when he came to karlie's office"

"Oooooh, are you interested in him?"

"Noooo no no no. That's not the fruit i like" she laughed a little as selena said "oh, sorry". Taylor sipped her drink and looked into her new friend "I mean, i do like some 'extra curricular' man sometimes, just don't see myself marrying one."

"Do you think karlie is also... you know... fruity?" Selena asked, intrigued. "I always wondered"

"Oh yeah, definitely. I know my people when i see them, that girls is gay as fuck" she giggled and blushed, looking directly into her friend. They talked for a long time before heading home. Taylor promised Selena that they could go out another time and she would happily sing some if her songs, making the brunette with shiny eyes jump im excitement.
