"Morning, Kloss" taylor entered the big office with a smile on her mouth and a coffee on her hand. "Tough night, hun? Really like your glasses"

"shut up, you're speaking too damn loud" karlie placed her hands on her ears and looked down "please close the curtains?? My head hurts"

"Can i ask what happened or is it too soon to make personal questions?". The room was now completely dark and taylor walked carefully to Karlie's desk. She pulled a chair and sat down, handing the girl her coffee.

"My stupid sister decided to procreate and have stinky little babies. Now auntie karlie needs to take care of them, apparently. I love those little demons, but i'm genuinely terrible with kids" she sipped the beverage, taking off her sunglasses "I couldn't take it, by the time they fell asleep i was already with two bottles of wine on my hand."

Taylor giggled, imagine karlie taking care of a toddler "you can call me next time if you want, children love me. I really don't mind"

"So you have interest in visiting my house, swift?" She teased, grinning "ugh, you're the worse! I'm trying to help you, take your libido away from me, Kloss" taylor sighed, smiling a little. Karlie continued to look into Taylor's eyes with a completely lost expression. The perfect shade of blue, it reminded karlie of the perfect spot where the sky meets the sea. "Stop with the pretty face, Kloss!" Taylor tried to break the silence, asking for karlie to stop looking at her.

"So you think i'm pretty?" She teased again, knowing that wasn't what taylor meant

"Oh, yeah. Pretty stupid! I'm going back to my cubicle, don't you have a headache to heal or something?"

"Dear diary, week two: taylor thinks i'm pretty" she said out loud while writing dow the exact same words in a paper "She's already obsessed with me and my shiny abs"

"Shut up! Ught i hate you"

Karlie laughed while taylor left the room with a angry face. She did blush a little, but nothing too visible.

She organized some meetings and answered a lot of phone calls, as usual. She kept thinking about karlie the whole time. The way her hair shined and her clothes fit her curves perfectly. The way her eyes reminded her of the most precious emerald green she has ever seen. The way... "stop it, you can't date her. You won't. You know what happened last time, you can't let this happen again! Forget about it, taylor. Let it go." She thought to herself and grabbed one of her notebooks. After starring at the blank page for some minutes, she grabbed a pen and started writing.

Gleaming, Twinkling
Eyes like sinking ships
on waters so inviting
I almost jump in

she looked around, making sure nobody was starring at her, then turned her attention back to writing her thoughts down.

But I don't like a gold rush, gold rush
I don't like anticipating my face in a red flush
I don't like that anyone would die to feel your touch
Everybody wants you
Everybody wonders what it would be like to love you
Walk past, quick brush
I don't like slow motion double vision in rose blush
I don't like that falling feels like flying 'til the bone crush
Everybody wants you
But I don't like a gold rush

she wrote it down, shaking her head. After reading it again, she sighed and wrote a little "fuck" on the corner of the page. She closed the notebook tightly and huffed, blowing one of the strands of her hair that fell over her face. She looked at her clock and excused herself, saying that she would go out for lunch.

"I need your help" she said breathless while looking directly into the guy in front of her. "Hello to you too, taylor"

"Jack i think i'm into something. I have this melody in my head for a while now and some lyrics just popped up in my head today. Can i borrow the bar piano?"

"Yeah, sure. Come, I'll help you" he smiled, finishing to clean some glasses.

The bar was empty, for Taylor's luck. She grabbed the journal from her purse and opened it. She tested some notes before playing it for jack, who listened attentively with a smirk. "Okay Taylor Kloss, that's pretty good. I really like it"

"What? Shut up! It's not about her!"

"Hey, I don't judge you, she's hot.

"It's not about her! I swear" taylor put her hands up after noticing Jack wasn't gonna give up "fine. You're a pain in the ass, you know that right?"

"Yeah, but you love me either way" he shrugged his shoulders, looking at the blond figure in front of him.

"Oh, shit. I really need to eat, my lunch break is almost over. See you around?"

"Yeah, of course. I'll give you a call. Oh, and taylor" he paused as the girl walked towards the exit "the song is great, you really should keep working on that one. It has potential"

"Thanks" she politely smiled "bye, jack"

She enjoyed every second of her lunch break eating a hot dog from a hot dog stand across the street. It wasn't her ideal meal, but it's not like she had the time or the money to go to a fancy restaurant.

As she stepped out of the elevator she saw Selena sitting on her desk, her feet resting on an empty part of the table. "Oh, hi Sel. What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you, dumbie. Also I brought some paperwork, Tom was pretty inspired today" the brunette giggled and pointed to the big pile of paper on her desk. "I think karlie is dead, i can only see her feet on the couch through the door"

"Maybe she killed herself, wouldn't this be great for humanity?" Taylor joked, entering her boss' office "She has a hungover, a bad one. She was so moody when i got here" taylor explained to selena, who walked slowly so her heels didn't make any sound "Seen her lying there, sleeping peacefully like this, i think..." the blond paused, admiring karlie "how easy it would be to hold a pillow over her face"

"Stop it, dork. She's not that bad!" Selena whispered.

"Yeah, maybe she's not. But I have all the right to hate her"

"Nah, you're smiling. You don't hate her, you're just saying you do for some reason. At least she treats you well, everybody's saying that she's in such a better mood since you started working here" now the two friends were leaving the room, closing the door carefully.

"That's because i'm the best secretary anyone could ever ask for. I don't judge her, i would also be in a great mood if i had taylor swift as my employee"

"Fair" selena said, fixing her hair before saying goodbye and giving taylor a hug. The rest of the day was pretty boring, but the thought of going home and seen her cat, meredith grey, kept her hopeful.
