Trollex and Roxie's Story

Chapter 1: Roxie

I was only a month old when my parents died. I wasn't fully sure why or how they died, but all I know is that my parents left, and never came back. My grandmother was the one that took care of me, that is till I was five. At five, my grandmother died too, and I was left with no one. It was at seven when I finally realized that my parents and grandmother were never coming back. 

After my grandmother's funeral, I went home and flopped onto my bed. I took a pillow and put it on my face to cried into, letting it soak my tears and emotions. My stomach felt yucky and empty. I felt that there was no more meaning in my life. Thoughts were spinning my head a hundred miles per hour. The thoughts started to hurt and tears were slowly falling again.

When I pulled myself together, I decided to go for a swim, hoping the thoughts would leave. I swam for a while, but then I stopped as a troll yelled in a deep voice, "Stop! Where are you going all alone?" I turned around to see two large techno trolls. One was tall and had very long hair, held up in a loose bun. The other was tall as well, and was very muscular, it was him who was talking to me. 

I hesitated for a second, but managed to spit out some words. "I-don't have parents..." I said as my gill-like ears drooped down. I looked down into the depths of the sea. 

Both of the guards exchanged looks, then looked back at me. "Then you're coming with us. We're taking you to the Orphanage." I lifted my head in panic. I started to swim without having second thoughts, but then fear came over me about what would happen if the did catch me. 

Maybe the one with muscles would hit me and drag me to the Orphanage. I thought. I looked back to see if they were on my tail, then weren't. I sighed in relief, but I wasn't paying attention at all, causing me to bump into someone. We both fell to the ground. Ow... I thought, sitting myself up. It took me a few seconds to realize who I ran into. I was so embarrassed when I found out that I had ran into the most popular kid in the school, Shi.

Shi is a super popular kid in our school. But I never understood how, maybe it was because she live streams every single day of her life? I don't know, but she is so mean to everyone. I never knew why she bullied, but I was to scared to ask or even think about it. But I was happy I was what trolls called "The Invisible Kid". No one ever notices me in school, it just try to stay in my little bubble. 

When I looked at her, Shi was in shock, and to be honest, I was in shock at how beautiful she was. Shi had dark green skin with Skrillex haircut of lime light green with tips of blue, that flowed down her shoulder like a waterfall. Her eyes were a pretty gold with beautiful, long sky blue eyelashes. The vibrant heart on her chest beating to a steady rhythm.

"Hey!" Shi yelled, which snapped me out of the awe of her looks. "Watch where you're swimming!" This made everyone turn to me. As I said, I was the "Invisible Kid", so I was terrified to have this many eyes on me. I turned my head back and forth, looking at all the people staring at me. This was probably most of Techno Reef. I turned my head back to see if the two trolls that were chasing me were here, they weren't. "Hey!" Shi yelled again, causing me to turn my head in her direction. She was now right above me with her arms folded and her eyes glaring at me, making me feel inferior. I could could feel my stomach tighten.

"I - I - I'm sorry, I didn't mean to run into you..." The words just seemed to have spilled out of my mouth, because I was still still as a rock. 

"You better be." Shi said in a firm tone as she flipped her hair and started to swim away. But then, something in me just...snapped. 

I jumped up. "Well, maybe if you weren't on your phone all the time, we wouldn't have swam into each other. You blame me, but it's just as much your fault." I blurted out just before she swam away. She turned back around with her arms crossed and a face with mixed expressions. She seemed a bit surprised and shocked, but it also seemed like she thought I was joking. Then Shi bent down to pick up her phone.
