She pulled her hair back and stared abruptly into my eyes. "So what you are gonna take responsibility for my child now?" Just as quickly as she said it, she regretted it. I still held her up as she tried to shy herself away from me. It was adorable how she thought I wasn't serious.
I nudged her forehead with mine and forced her to look deep into my eyes. God those entrancing blue eyes made my heart melt like butter. "It should've been mine anyway." I leaned forward for another kiss when she pushed off of me and landed on the ground. I didn't want her to leave my arms, but what can you do?
The following hour consisted of discussing our story to tell everyone around us, especially her parents. How did we meet? Online through a mutual friend, Emma. I needed a cover person and anyone else would destroy the story. How long have we been dating? 4 months online, 2 months in person. Would we live together? Yes at my place, two bedrooms and cheaper rent than her studio oddly enough. When is she moving in? In 2 months, so she can collect her life back together. Am I gonna be the father figure in his/her life?
"Are you gonna be the father figure?" Andy read off from the list of questions we had made up. "Do you want to be a father Wes?" She looked at me.
Hearing the actual question, alarmed me. Do I want to be a father? I could imagine a million different ways it could be like.
'Hi, I'm Westin, Claire's father.'
'Yeah! Go, Bradley! I'm proud of you son!'
'Would you like to hold your daughter? Her name's Valeria...'
'Grant, it's okay buddy. Daddy's here. No monsters will come.'
I looked up at Andy and smiled at her. I got on my knee looked up at her ever so gently and said. "Andy, will you let me be your baby daddy?"
She shook her head in disbelief. "I thought you were proposing and in which case I would've had to turn you down." She laughed as I waited on my still hurt knee. Upon which on schedule my knee gave out and I went tumbling forward into her lap. "OH, GOD! Right the horrific injury. Yes, yes. Please be my baby daddy." She laughed.
I slowly pushed myself upward and lifted her shirt. She leaned a little back. "Hear that little one, I am your father." I did my Darth Vader impression. Andy giggled. I kissed her slow forming pudge. I lowered her shirt and moved back to sit in my chair. "Andy, did you want me to propose?" I sighed as I settled back to the list of questions.
"That's not a question on this list." she retorted. "Besides it's not like you want to date me, right?" I looked over her beautiful body and smiled.
"I want nothing more than for you to let me love you and treat you right." I smiled at her.
"Dinner. Saturday Night at the Stark Club." she beamed from ear to ear.
The following weeks we did nothing, but spend every waking second together. Doctor Appointment on Monday, she's 7 weeks along and the baby is healthy. Breakfast in bed on Tuesday, because morning sickness is a bitch. Movie night with Emma and Calvin on Wednesday, Cars 2 because children always pick apparently. Grocery Shopping on Thursday, just because is all I got on this one. Babysitting Clavin on Friday, because it's good practice and I had already agreed to it. Leading up to Dinner at the Stark Club on Saturday.
I arrived at her place in my nice black suit with a red tie. I had to rush home because Andy didn't want to miss me for too long. However, it is very rude to show up on a first date without flowers. I knocked on the door and heard my angel call out. "It's open!"
Letting myself in, I adjusted my jacket and stood against her door frame. We needed to pick up after our busy week. I smiled as I thought about spending every day with my gorgeous temptress. It made my heart leap a little.
"Wes." she gently called out from the bathroom
"Yeah?" I responded.
"Can you help me a minute? I can't get the zipper," she whined a little.
I walked towards the bathroom and saw my beautiful new girlfriend facing the mirror in a shimmery purple dress that was short and also beautiful. It extenuated every curve in her newfound body filling the dress out perfectly. Her hair curled around her lightly made-up face, making her stunning face even more perfect. She gave me a small pout through the mirror as she kept trying to reach behind her back to zip the dress. I let out a small laugh and gently tugged on the zipper following from the bottom of her back to the top of her shoulders. She pulled on the sleeves showing off her perfect collarbone.
She turned to me and smiled. "Thank you. You are my hero."
"You say that a lot to me." I smiled handing her the roses I had picked up. "These are for you." She gracefully took them and led me back to the main area to fetch a vase. Once the flowers had found themselves in their new home, I offered my arm to my girlfriend and led her out of her apartment and onto the streets of LA.
The rest of the night went off without a hitch. Dinner at the Stark Club. Dancing underneath the stars in the park. Finishing off the night with a walk down to the river where we sat and talked about nothing but our lives before we met. As we made our way back to her apartment, there was nothing more I wanted to do than kiss her.
We arrived at her apartment door, when she unlocked it and opened it, I pulled her in close for a kiss. However, Andy had other plans. As I pulled away, she gave me her signature puppy dog eyes and her seductive smile. "Aren't you gonna stay for dessert, baby?"
"Darling, I'll stay for breakfast if you want me to." I seductively grinned.
"I make killer pancakes." She smirked. "So what are you waiting for?"
"Nothing." I kicked the door shut.
